Netnomad, what weapons and equipment (armor) did you have when you beat Dark Falz with your RAmar on level 30? I'm level 30 right now, AND I'm a RAmar... Definitely not a coincidance, ignore the spelling.

DarkMagician Wrote:By the way; On ULTIMATE MODE, Caves is the best for XP. 67000+XP can be had! Forest on ult gives merely 27000+true, but Forest is quicker and the Sil Dragon is weaker than Dal Ral Lie, so for weaker characters Forest is the better choice until they get strong enough to take on Caves.

All this talk of ultimate is scaring me.. and I'm only in normal, hard, and very hard... AAHH!! It's just me though. Normal:lvl 36. Hard:lvl40 something Veryhard:lvl60.. I'm inching my way up.. Trying to reach 86.. to be in the same ranking as a friend. Run through on forest on the "hardest" level available? still going to take forever,
P.S. I went through Addicting food.. I like fake in yellow better.. pointless beating rappies. ^^

Yes, that quest is a lifesaver when you're angry and just want to smack stuff around with your Soul Eater (or other partisan/sword if you're a hunter :ermm: ). That's how I got my first Red Handgun, actually; I was so angry at the mines enemies that I opted for some mindless rappy slaughter and I happened to meet a Pal Rappy carrying the gun.
I recall that I carried two lockguns... a Riot Lockgun with 10% dark, and a Frost Lockgun that I used on enemies like Dark Gunners to freeze them. I also had a buster of some sort, and I think I had an HP-stealing partisan as well. Just bring a lockgun and a buster... and some decent Fire/Ice resistance. A Brave Barrier will do the job this time. Also, make sure you have at least... erm, I think it's 130 HP or something, because that's what his heaven-punishment does. Although that's not a problem for a RAmar.
I used those lockguns for the longest time, though... I remember going through most of hard thinking, "when in hell am I gonna find a purple-level rifle?"
Of course, I found my first Varista in Hard Ruins shortly after my first railgun, and I used that up until Ultimate. You know, I still have those lockguns. Kept 'em out of spite. The days, man... those were the days. XD

Thus, I mistakenly thought Falz was too tough for me. At 30 I actually had quite an easy time...

Um... sorry to be acting like a newb, but what are lockguns and where do you get them? Same with busters. I've only got a Heart Sniper +5 and a Dim Brand +32...

lockgun: upgraded handgun
buster: upgraded saber
you just find them in the slightly later parts of the game (late normal mode, maybe)
the game isn't that hard to beat at low levels. [brag]i beat falz in ultimate at level 71 with my fonewearl.
[/brag] you just need the hp to beat the bosses.
to get exp i like doing SoaB (forest half) because with the boss it's about 50,000 exp (ultimate) and it isn't much harder than the regular forest runs.

forest or caves to train your char. Addicting food is a great lvling up mission offline.
deathknocks dont use grinders on those weapons, they will soon be replaced with better weapons.

I know, I learned that the hard way, I just felt like max grinding my brand. I've got some grinders stored in the bank for better weapons, I'm saving 'em for an Inferno Bazooka after I beat Dark Falz and advance onto Hard mode.
Al Rappy 7/8 chance (Viridia).
Would I get lockguns or busters in ruins? I'm in normal. I've never seen one nor heard of 'em, I have a glaive... but I can't wield it.
