I was searching on google, and the second I clicked a link auto protect came up and said a virus was detected, it said it couldnt fix the problem, so I do a system scan and it doesnt come up, so I look for more info on nortons site, and I look for trace of it on my system but I can find no evidence of it, so I'm wondering if it hid itself somehow or if its a fluke or something, heres the nortons info link http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avc...avadd.html now not only am I pissed that the wrong site came up but now I have to worry about being infected >:l, any help is aprreciated
Set up the rope and chair...

How is THAT for advice?

No...keep copies of important files?]

I have never had a virus. Ever. And I have no Virus ware. harharhar. Sorry.
The average PC, especially after numerous downloads, is actually quite ridden with viruses. The best thing you can do, is to search and destroy them with programs such as Norton. In this case I'm not too sure what to say; you probably shouldn't read too much into it. Probably the best idea would be to keep scanning for viruses and simply eliminate as many as you can. In the end, you can't do a whole lot more than that. Meck..
none come up as detected, I'm just gonna ignore this for now as my pc isnt haveing any of the symptons
Okay. As long as it does not erase everything, or explode in your face, it should not matter.
Mine did that about a moth ago and nothing seems wrong :S
