how long have you had it? my old kb must have lasted atleast 7 years and it still has the words on it

hehe yeah. Make sure it dries first though otherwise you'll start wondering why you have black fingers ^_^.
They do last quite a while though. Very strange that it has rubbed off. Was it a cheap keyboard?

I'd say over use. Suprisingly enough for though, my keyboard has latsed longer then my wrists have :'( :| . I have oberused my writs, and when I was younger I did not have my hands in the proper spots on the kb and when I played games, so sadly I am paying for it now in pain that comes and goes depending in what I have been doing latly. Ya I know way off topic, I leave know.

um, my keyboard has been used through five years of www's and a's and b's on my emulators.
so my comp is a good deal old.

usually the keyboard wears off like that eventually, but normally only if they are old....the newer ones have a small layer of plastic on them, so....
