I don't see, at all, how these topics are even remotely similar. You were speaking of Internet slang and annoying abbreviations, whereas I am talking about grammar and the incorrect use of it.

now WHY do I need to learn more grammar?

I was one of the best spellers at my school, my English teachers never got onto me for improper speech, and my parents always ask 'me' for spellings on certain words.

hahaha. No worries, misterbud. You're not one of the members that need serious grammatical help, Sheik, there are several (many) others.
