The particular quests i'm talking about is any quest that you have an NPC hunter ranger or force dragging ass behind you. Dragging ass because they are really no help, with the exception of Donolph but only cause he has that neat sword. Maybe if they acted like a real player, and had a mag equipped and it would be better, because quest is kind of unreal even for this digital world. Aren't these guys required to have mags, especailly that mag crazy RAcaseal from the 3rd quest in offline?

what other things could the NPC's have that would probly make gameplay better?
Better AI

Know those things that fall on you in the ruins?

Ria: Ack I'm stuck, help me!

NPC: *stands there*

Arg, I wish Sega team would atleast make them free you if trapped!
Or like the box traps that fall on you and explode, in the ruins. The NPC could hit the trap, if they are android class they could clear the mines in the room before you get to them
I wish the FO npc's would cast support spells, and the RA npc's would at least attack enemies in their range, I mean, whats the point of a Ranger if it doesn't attack till the thing is 5 feet in front of you...
they should allow you to swith what the NPC would do. like youll have a menu where you can tell them to attack, support, heal, use best knowledge, etc.
It would be more fun then the stupid NPCs nowadays.
Yeah, kind of like in Kingdom Hearts....you could give them items and such and choose how often to do stuff (Techs, Support, Healing, Item usage, etc)
I hate when your in ruins and the npc keeps attacking the dark gunner and then it finally starts it's attack and the npc's weak damage scares it away again, so having more control over when the npc attacks would be a nice upgrade for them, sort of like the team commands in counter strike.
I wish that they had something like in Secret of Mana (a good old SNES game). You could choose the character's way to fight in battle by there was a square and it was something like left and right was more attacking, up and down was more defending. So if you marked the lower left corner, the NPC would sit there and do nothing, but if you marked the far right, it'd go all out and attack, far top defend, and upper right corner would just make the NPC run around killing stuff. (They weren't that great at it though if I remember right.)

One thing to bring to your attention: How the flurg is Donolph level 190 after killing only 9001 enemies? If you just average it out so that every enemy in ultimate is about 800 EXP in Ultimate (when you factor in the bosses) he would have 7,200,800 EXP which puts him at near level 130! That is one heckuvahacker!
Lol, every NPC that casts techs can only cast one tech, it's so stupid. Why does the force in forest of sorrow still use barta on Hildelts? Grants you fool, grants! I think it's actually to make the quests harder. On normal mode, they helped keep you alive, on ultimate, you return the favour Big Grin.
Yeah i agree they are useless.
