is it worth the trouble?
I'm doing quests untill i get unsealed door for fights with dal ra lie.
I believe it's a 1/51 chance, is that a hard drop?

Well, it's not the best drop in the game. But if your up to puting in the time and effort, the Holy Ray is a very good item. I think it grindes up to 40?
If you're a Force, it's worth it, if not, Red Handgun is more powerful and easier to find.
Wait, the red handgun is stronger? I thought it was the opposite.

Will I do enough damage and will i hit enough with it?
You should hit enough with it as it is a Rifle, and it adds enough ATP that you should be doing at least OK damage with it.
The Red Handgun is about some 30 ATP stronger when both are grinded, but it has 24 less ATA. I found a Holy Ray, and it's quite good (but funny lookin')..... later though I accidentally found a Red Handgun with 15% hit that tekked to 25% (1 ATA better, some 30 ATP better).... The Holy Ray still has better range though.
If you're a Force, then a Bringer's Rifle may be worth it too.

The holy ray needs MST so I can build up power.
I think the bringers rifle need ATA.
And the ATA of a fomar sucks.
The Bringer's Rifle is a good weapon (don't have one though). The fact that it adds alot of ATA and has Demon's as the special helps alot. Fomars can use it too as long as your mag has some DEX and you have some God/Arm units.
I'd try to get a Holy Ray first, and go after a Bringers Rifle later.
