My gc could possibly be dieing 
got two disc read errors in ep 2 and lost my red partisan, justice, and then my back up melee wep my chainsawd the second time...it could be my lens is dusty and ill try cleaning it but if not i will try to find another gc...which wont be easy in my financial state
That's the disc not your cube.
Actually it could be your lens if you touch it to much it wont read anything it happened to my freind his little bro. kept touching the lens.

its more than likely the lens, aerlias got the same error untill he bought a new gc
it just might not be the lens at all.....it could even be the motor that turns the CD....mine blew out (not literally) and now the disk doesn't turn....which pretty well makes the whole thing completely useless. It still could be the lens, but a simple cleaning job could clear that up.

If I were you I'd call Nitendo Customer support. When I bought my Game Boy Advance, a few months later it wouldn't read games. I called and found out that the SP has two processors. One for old Game Boy games and one for advance games. The processors for Game Boy advance games was damage and needed replaced so I sent it in and they repaired it for free because I was still under warranty. They even pay for S&H.
My point is it wouldn't hurt calling customer support!

my problem is my gc is over a year old and i dont have any receipt, ill try to clean the lens and if it happens still, ill be in the market for another cube
Do they cost that much any more?
