That's why I've never attempted it online, although I've seen my friend do it. The last time I duped anything was before I activated my HL... and since then I've gotten quite a few things which I'm really gonna need to back up (thus I'm going to be borrowing a nonplus disc either today or tomorrow...).
Yeah, I FSODed myself offline the first time I tried it... what I tried to do, well... anybody who FSODed themselves doing this knows what I'm talking about.
It took me awhile to get the method down. But eh, it was offline so I didn't lose anything, at least.
so the problem is not the weapon but if it frezes your game.......well........in that case is better to have a backup save file.
I would never do it, but to each his own.
i duplicate rares that are XTREMELY! hard to find just incase i ever lose them but thats it
I am going to be set up for online play again very soon. I fear online play because of hackers. I have very many hacker enemies. I belive that legato is going to be hating me very soon. Probably already does.

you think that someone is not playing fair.
When I played legitly aeons ago, I never duped my items, mostly because I never bothered to learn how, but after losing an item to FSOD I was careful and only carried one weapon with me and it was always equipped.
I pass judgement on nobody, but people seem to like to do it to me.
