Considering the other "What music do you prefer" topic is a year old, I'm sure many people have joined these forums and many have left since then. So I thought it would make more sense to start a new one.

I myself have a very wide range of musical interests. Sounds funny coming from a metalhead eh? I listen to almost every form of metal there is; heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal, melodic death metal, black metal, doom metal, epic black metal, progressive, gothic metal, grindcore, metalcore... the list goes on and on.

To name a few bands I doubt anyone here has ever heard of that should really be looked into; Sirenia, Tristania, Therion, Dragonlord, Amon Amarth, Vintersorg, Borknagar, Arcturus, Opeth, Lacuna Coil, Emperor, Angel Dust, Draconian, Hypocrisy, Paradise Lost, Chimaira, Immortal, Stratovarius, Moonspell, Within Temptation, Old Man's Child, Susperia, Nightwish, Dark Tranquility, Diary of Dreams, Altaria... I'll stop there.

I also listen to EBM, or let's just say, electronica. I was never really big into EBM until a friend of mine reccomended a band by the name of Assemblage 23.

Although I can't stand some of it, I also listen to some punk music. (nearly half the population of my school listens to punk so I just got kinda used to it)

And once in awhile I'll find myself listening to some Nox Arcana. (which is a classical band, yes that's right classical band)

I listen to all kinds of music.....abit of punk....metal, death metal, but mostly rock.
Bands I listen to include, Metallica, ACDC, Yellowcard, Papa Roach, Zug Izland, Theory of A Deadman, Iced Earth, Cradle of Filth, Disturbed, and quite a few more that I won't bother trying to remember.

i listen to music that i find catchy. as long as it cheers me up or brings me into an interesting mood, i dont care who made it, i'll listen to it. and i wouldnt limit me to certain genres either.

I listen mostly to indie and rock music - bands like Coldplay, Keane, Muse. Sometimes I listen to something older, like Status Quo or Led Zeppelin or whatever.

I also like video game music, and PSO happens to have an awesome soundtrack. I especially like the ep4 music (particularly Nostalgia in Solitude -part2- and IDOLA the fanatic viper).

I mostly like punk rock like andrew W. K. and Green day. But my all time favorite is system of a down but i do not know what that would be classified as cuz it is kinda weird.

Personally, I prefer depressive music, like Eels.

Also, orchestral rock is good, too.

Screaming, Head banging, qudruple bass pedaled drums, and hyper picking guitar, heavy metal! lol Also depressive stuff and rock is cool too.

At the moment depressive music but in general just the good ol' stuff: CLASSIC ROCK!
