I am anticipating getting this game for my birthday, most likely anyway. I have watched video after video demonstrating this game's technological capabilites and wonder. I have come across but a few faults and downers to owning this game. There is some mature content as well as potential minor glitches (choppiness at specific scenarios), neither of which I have any problem with. Also, it is reported that there were fewer boss battles than some people would have liked, considering the enjoyability of the bosses that are there. I have also read up on this game on several different well-known and trusted gaming sites including GameSpot.com and IGN.com. They both gave excellent reviews, and their ratings for God of War, respectively, were 9.3 (plus recipient of GameSpot's Editor's Choice Award), and 9.8 - both superb ratings.

But, cutting to the chase, those of you who have had the pleasure of playing this game, what did you think of it? As you can see, I like to research games before I actually pick them up. Putting my head where my (or my significant other's) money is, evidently. My brother had rented it at one point, but I did not get to experience it for myself. So, opinions, please. Thanks!

Alright, here goes.

I rented this game knowing that it would be an incredibly enjoyable action game. Great action, graphics, and the soundtrack's not bad either. The only down side to this game is that I beat it in a matter of hours. This game is great but is WAY too short.

I haven't heard anything about its longevity lacking. On GameSpot's review, they said it would take ~15 hours to complete on the Normal mode.

ive played it at my friends house its pretty fun and the M rateing content is alot of fun but i know a few ppl are going to hate me for this i thought it was just a little repitive

The game looka aesome but i don't think i will be able to get it cause my parents are really strickt about age ratings and stuff

Yeah I know what you mean, Talex, but my parents aren't bad about it. It just looks so awesome, that any number of negative aspects of God of War would easily be outnumbered by the positives.

Ill be getting it. Its been delayed like 3 times already now where i live >_<

I manadged to play it round a friends house OMFG it's ausum

My girlfriend has had this game a while now and yes it looks pretty, has a good soundtrack, but in most places resembles prince of persia in gameplay.If you like P.o.P. get this.(there are a few hilariously funny bits in the game though)
