I have gained 100 worth of points, and it says I have 0 points 'remaining' and it appears only remaining points may be spent so how do i convert my points so they are remeaining to be spent?

If I remember correctly, points are banked automatically at the end of every month. You can then spend the banked points.

Hmm....StarRaiders has 159 points banked and then about 30+ points not banked.
