Evangelion is a sweet anime but I wish that they would put it back on Toonami or put it on adult swim. That would be so awesome

imho NGE is highly overrated.
sure there are some sweet ideas but mostly it revolves around hideaki anno (the director) taking revenge for his miserable life and fooling all the mecha-freaks out there. you know he wanted to commit suicide shortly before he started working on it, right?
i hate that shinji character with all my heart's content. what a loser.
all in all, understanding this with all its hidden messages, its maybe one of the most depressive series ever made. and not confusing at all. everyone who says that they didnt understand episode 25-26 just should switch their brain on.
another thing that leaves a bad taste is that gainax milks the franchise for more than a decade now. like a japanese starwars, really.

Plus they aren't subliminal messages, they are adjectives put in for less than a second... (I paused and checked, what! I had a lot of spare time on sunday... lol).

It was on about 2 years ago, Toonami showed only the first 2 episodes of it then took it off the air. This happened during 'Giant Robot Anime week' During that wonderful week Toonami showed anime like Robotech, Evangelion, Nedesco, and Dai-guard. (I hope I spelled Nedesco right) But later that year Toonami had a poll asking viewers to choose the next new show the two top choices were Outlaw Star and Evangelion.
yeah... and now outlaw star is gone too...
