:'( Why is my question being ignored... :'(
Because people here don't know. I'm just kidding... anyways... I'll answer your question.

...as soon as I feed my MAG... there we go... anyways...

For any dial-up connection you need the modem adapter for the GameCube. Only Cable, DSL, and T1 use the broadband adapter. The cost to play is $8.95 a month in the US, and the cost of the adapter is usually $35. I got my broadband adapter from the belly of the beast. I went to Nintendo World in New York while I was away on vacation and picked it up for $35. I don't know where else you could get one besides EBay though... (I ordered a keyboard adapter from EBay, it better get here soon)

So, yeah... modem adapter, $8.95 a month, the first 30 days are free, $35 for adapter, most likely will have to get the adapter from EBay. That about sums up your... (stupid MAG) ...situation. Hope that helps!
Yes it does! Thanks alot Pink!
35$ ARE U NUTZ PINK!!!!!!!! im buying the game and broadband for only 45 Tongue mua hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! VICTORY IS MINE NO THE PRICE MUA HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! =)
Have fun getting hacked to death with rusty saw blades, GC is the third most hacked PSO out there! (After DC and PCs non BB version). You will face loosing your characters and items if you do not know what you are doing. It isnt hard at all to get hacked. If you dont beleive me, think of me when you hear a "BUZZZZ" noise and remember these words.
READ the Hacks/Cheats section first!
anti is smart , yet kinda dumb for not unsealing the sjs he got lol Smile no offense but UNSEAL IT!!!!!!!! lol or i will take it if u want Smile always takin them 4 free Tongue
I am not online on GC it was an un-expected find. I'll just take advantage of the 'f00lz' on Ebay and sell it to someone, lol. So my morals are flawed, so are most things, like the basis for the war in Iraq so you know it's a round about way of saying it but get off my cheese-cake.

Anywho, if you play online stick to deserted JP lobbies and play passworded TTF its the only way to make a profitable experience of playing online.

Okay, I'll take a look, but I thought you couldn't hack the GC version...
I have played PSO for 2 years+
GC is no-where near protected it is AWFUL! It is more hacked, then a swiss cheese with over 20 thousand holes in caused by someone with a chisel hacking away. That is how hacked it is. Trust me, don't loose all you have... Ahem

Avoiding Hacking Online
----------------------

1.) Make your own games, FSODX will only happen if you are frosen in between the double save. FSODX is instant corruption. By this logic then, we know that if we make our own games no one is in the game to FSODX us when we enter and the double save occurs.

2.) Such Items as the Red ring, Dark bridge, Dark meteor and Dark flow are a sure sign of a hacker, also check their mag is not over level 200!

3.) The following: Manaknayda, FaNaTiC, Ev!L_Dr@G0N, Kamui Chan
Are all known FSODers

4.) Don't hang out in US ships, especially Deneb and Vega. Try to avoid EU ships as well, they can be a gamble. Playing with JP users isn't hard, just use symbol chat and I think you will find they are much better players anyway wink.gif.

5.) If you do get a corruption, delete your Guild Card file first, and your Character file last. This has saved me once before.

6.) If you are in a game an you get a regular FSOD, you will loose all un equipped and un banked items and meseta. So try to only carry one mag, weapon etc (much easier for forces).
If you are somewhere like the lobby, or not in a game, you will only lose un-banked meseta.
You may be hit by WS (word Select) FSOD if you or the FSODer is entering anywhere. If you enter a lobby, an FSODer there may hit you AS YOU ARRIVE. Alternatively, if you are in a game, they may swoop down and FSOD you. If you eneter the game, most likely it will be FSODX for you!

7.) If you have just changed areas on Pioneer 2, where the music is subject to change, (e.g. Hospital to main P2) and your disc isn't in great condition the screen may go black (possibly with the music still playing) also, If you are porting (telipipe, next area, boss etc.) then this may happen (the telipipe noise will continue). This is called BSOD. Simply open and close your disc cover and it will be fixed.
NOTE: If you get a BSOD online then as you fix the problem you will lose game-sync and will most likely DC.

8.) If everyone stops moving but you, and when you try to chat nothing happens, then you are most likely about to DC (or disconnect). This will not harm your game, but you may as well quit straight off to save some time wink.gif
Alternatively, there may be a long pause (for example in a boss sequence) and you may re-sync with the others.

9) Train in private password areas... Alone, or with friends... Try to meet in LESS KNOWN LOBBIES.
