if your doing a quest that has an npc in it that battles with you if you let them kill the monsters will they find rares for their section i.d. just like you do? so pretty much can npc's on quests find rares.

this was asked on another site that i visit and nobody knew the answer and i thought it was a good question.

Its like on multiplayer, who evers one player, thats the same ID, so the same in this, so basicllay, no!

this is true- an npc killed a hildbear, and it was my rare that dropped (i was pretty annoyed cos theirs was better!!)

oh. alright then. that sucks.

at least they can help me hunt rares.

In a nutshell, no, they can find your arares hyowever. If a quest was released where an NPC became first player online (this would be useful) then it would be possible.
