i recently just heard that live8 was only raising money for awareness :S .and that there not giving the money to the poverty sticken people in africa. is this true?

Live 8 was not a campaign to raise money. I have no idea where you heard this, but their slogan was, "We don't want your money. We want your voice." So....lol.

when did i ever say i loved live8? all i said was it was a good cause.but what were those numbers on a giant screen in the background for?

Nobody actually said it, well Kireek said it was "awsome". Look, nevermind, I don't know what the numbers were for, but I watched not only for the music, but the goal behind it as well.

Didn't sign the petition because I am against the concept of it. I believe poverty should be ended but the propositions on the page are not the way to end it. I won't make this into some political battle, just wanted show my stance on this. Good job to the rest of you for showing your support for those in need of aid ^_^.

now i'm sure live8 was to raise funds, there is another reason but i cant explain.
