It seems I'm making quite a habit of this. Having finished school for good on friday, I was thinking this morning that I might have to plug in my Dreamcast again, for nostalgia's sake, and because it's still fun!

I probably will do tomorrow or early next week, and begin Shenmue, or maybe play Rez.. ah, what a nice warm feeling looking back at such classic games Smile

Is there anyone else here who likes to get out the Dreamcast when times are a bit quieter? Or maybe you have it plugged in the whole time?!
I never actually owned a Dreamcast. So I'd have to say no, although there are a few games I'd without a doubt like to try out. However, I do know what you mean, the old-time's sake kinda thing. *thumbs up*
Alas i never had a Dreamcast either but i still love to (try)to play the old NES. the old classic games are sometimes much more funthen the new ones.
I do, but my darn DC is broken, I outplayed it (and touched the lens when it was kind-of-bad) by playing PSO, Shenmue, Bangai-O, Virtua Cop, SA2, SA1, and some other classics. I would take my DC out right now if it worked, hell, it would be the only thing I would have out. I could just throw my GC which I loathe (I still have not found out it's purpose :p), PS2 which is okay, and my Xbox which I love just as much as DC, in the basement. Unfortunately, it's the other way around.

Even if DC was still up-and-going, it still would have been plugged in, ready to be abused by hours of idling a Shenmue game, or even trying to beat a single Vulmer as a level 200 HUmar.
Ah, Bangai-O, I'm going to have to play that as well Tongue

The Dreamcast classics are still great to play, but don't get me wrong, I love plenty of Gamecube games too (unlike you apparantly, A.S.!)
I sometimes hook up the old dreamcast to relive the old days :Confusedigh:: those were some good times. Smile
i have a dreamcast and still play the old phantasy star online ver.2, or if i want action i play unreal tournament or star lancer.

also i play (sometimes) final fantasy 3 on dreamcast (emulator), and if i like to change a litle the area of gameplay i play gta2, ecco or spider man (psx)

the dreamcast is my life.
dreamcast rules!! YAY!! If I had the chance to have a brand new (and no problems EVER) dreamcast with all of the games ever released or a GC with al of the games that have been released in europe so far, I would choose the DC, and the controls are grt, even first person shooters like KISS shicho circus, "Y" is move forwarsds, crazy? after playing lots, no....
My Dreamcast was never disconnected so you bet I still play it. It's better then any of the newest console's out IMO. I just picked up Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation for it late last week. I also have a back up dreamcast in case mine breaks beyond repair. I know here in the US there are still a couple games online and there is some way to play PSO online again but I don't have dial up anymore so my DC is offline for good. I could get a broadband adapter from ebay but at the prices they are going for I think I'll pass. The Dreamcast has to be the best console ever made. I like my DC very much and it's got a ton of hours logged on it. I got about 450 hours just playing PSO on that thing. Not counting all the days I spent playing Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament. Then all the other games I played on it, it's got some serious gaming hours on it and it still works great. Smile
I only have a Dreamcast for collector's sake, I never had one until after I got PSO for GC. Mine stays hooked up all the time but the only games I have for it are PSO ver 1 and ver 2, Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, Sonic Adventure, and Tomb Raider 4.

I have no real reason to play it when pretty much every game I have for it I also have as a port for GC anyway.
