Cant you just go to Episode2, talk to some guy who says his father is working on something(With more than 1 person). And then you have to trade Photon Drops, Crystals, Spheres. And if you have over 40 you can get a Red Barrier I think...

You can do it with way under 40.... It's 16 for a Color one, and 2 or 3 for a Recovery/Assist (forget the exact number, but it's really cheap).
