I'm seriously beginning to think that I should get an Xbox...a band member in my band came over with his xbox and showed me a game called Fable. It looked so cool, but I had a lot of doubts.
The last week our drummer got one for his birthday and the whole band and some friends came over and system linked the xbox and 8 people were playing Halo2. I really look at the system in how much better it is than GameCube, but then thinking how much better the 360 could be if I waited and then how much the REV would pawn their asses.
My question is....what should I do?
Well, the next-gen consoles are coming out. Maybe not tomorrow, but they're coming soon. It up to you if you want to buy an XBOX when its XBOX 360 counterpart will come out in about a year.
But, let me say this, I have heard fantastic things about Fable. So, yes, you probably should buy one if you think you want it. Hell, I'm still getting GCN and PS2 games!
Listen to me closly...... GET ONE OR DIE! lmao but they are great they have the same great game you would only get to play online with gc, and hundreads of others and how can you mistake halo 2 that game is a god just get one heck rent one and then buy its much worth it
Take some time to consider the following before purchasing a new system, especially an XBOX:
1) Have I played everything I wanted to on my current systems to the extent that I would need a new system?
2) Are there at least five games for the XBOX that I want to play right when I get it so that I don't buy it, play it and get bored with it fast.
3) Sure Halo 2 is good, but after playing it by yourself for hours on end you'll find that you weren't having half as much fun as you were with your friends the other day.
4) There's new systems coming out in less than a year. Should I be spending money on a system that has virtually no more big titles coming out on it except Half Life 2? On top of that, should I be buying a system that most likely in a year will not have another game being made for it due to the fact that Microsoft will be too busy trying to push their new system coming this XMAS?
5) Is there possibly any way that I could just borrow Fable and an XBOX from my friend and beat it in the 30 hours it can be finished in?
6) Do I really need to even play another fantasy game with the new Zelda: Twilight Princess on the way that will make all other fantasy adventure games bow to their knees?
If after asking yourself the previous questions you still wish to purchase an XBOX then go ahead and do it. In case you do get one I highly suggest that you play Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Otogi, Breakdown and Phantom Crash on it. These are the best titles that the system has to offer IMHO, but unfortunately due to XBOX's mainstream nature most of these have been banished to obscurity.
The community of those games died, I still see them ins stores, 20 dollars for new. You forgot Shenmue 2 (be sure your a very patient person, game is almost slower then Shenmue 1=intolerable for standard player), I forgive you XD

To add a little something, Fable is coming to the PC in the future. So if someone only wanted an XBOX for Fable and have a good PC, they might as well wait.

Anyways, I'd wait for the next gen consoles. I mean, xbox is a good system but if the next-gens have the ability to play their old counterparts' games, then you should wait. You would be able to enjoy the xbox but with a newer system
