Viridia or Purplenum are the best ranger IDs.

01 -- Whitill (Hunter --> Ranger --> melee Force)
02 -- Purplenum (Ranger --> Force --> Hunter)
03 -- Viridia (Ranger --> Hunter --> melee Force)
03 -- Skyly (mainly Hunters, but has some nifty Ranger and melee Force stuff; lacks armours)
03 -- Redria (Hunter --> melee Force, good for shields and armours)
06 -- Yellowboze (same for all classes, its lack of specificity makes it unreliable at times)
07 -- Greennill (Ranger)
08 -- Oran (Force --> Hunter)
09 -- Bluefull (Hunter --> melee Force --> Ranger)
10 -- Pinkal (Force)

Kefka gave me this ID evaluation list, make what you want from it. Both are great IDs, Purplenum ia also a good Force ID, Psycho Wand. Viridia is also a good Hunter ID.

Greenil is good if you like Rifles. Cause thats pretty much what you find. (I like rifles so I'm OK ). Purplenum is more balanced and finds more stuff for other classes;(I found lotsa daggers) but its still best left for rangers to use.

Heh, I have pretty odd IDs for two of my Rangers. Right now I have Greenill, Purplenum, Bluefull, and Redria rangers... so far only the Greenill and Bluefull are in use. I've found lots of good stuff with my Greenill, so I find it to be a good ID. Bluefull has mainly been getting Partisans like it's made for.

I would recomend a viridia. Every rare I find is a gun for some reason. I have like 5 final impacts. And 2 guilty lights. I also have found every single rare handgun and every rare shotgun. Viridia is the best ranger id.
