You are wrong there, the fighting is more passive like in world of warcraft, But the game itself plays a lot like PSO. Just without hacknslash.
So basically you travel with a group of only four people and meet people on the outposts. similar to pso. except a bit more seamless. In that the world all looks strangely the same. I think I can do a small comparison. But Guild wars takes a lot more advice from PSO than it does from WoW. But that's a good thing
I don't know if they got their ideas from PSO or not, but it's pretty darn close.
I wasn't talk about WoW I was talking about guild wars. Guild wars is very hack and slash like PSO it's got alot of the same elements.
I know you were talking about guild wars. I don't know how you can call the fighting system similar at all though.
There extremely simualr there might a be a few tweaks here and there but it's pretty much the same. It's not a live in MMORPG all you do is go on and do quests and then you log off and thats it same with pso.
Aaarg you people, let me put this straight - they are different in one categeory
PSO - hack and slash adventure
WoW - Strategy roleplay adventure

but WoW is a fun game. considering that you can pick up many differnet types of proffesions, such as tailoring, blacksmithing, enchanting and so on. And evilgamer, from ur sayn i would think that u havent been on many raids, battlegrounds and instances. its not all about questing, u can enter either WSG or AM and compete there for honor, or just wander around looking for opposing faction to kill.
the "fun factor" also depends on wat kind of server you are on, pvp is more for thrills, normal is more for ppl who like to take it slow
