Im sick of these false rumurs, so im here to find out the truth, by putting our heads together!
The dark flow as well as the dark meteor and dark bridge have a 99.9% chance of being hacked. At one point they WERE legit. You COULD get the Parasitic Gene Flow, but ST for an unknown reason (Most including me thinks its because of the hacks) banned the item, thus Olga Flow no longer drops it. So almost all people who have it is a hack. And it is now impossible to legitly make it.
Its never been released. Otherwise people would be able to get it offline.

I havent a clue, I think it was legit on GC, at one point when the online drop rates were active but within months, weeks, they de-activated it. The only person to ever have been thought to have the item legit (an Oran from Sonic Team) most likely no longer plays the game. Also, I think he was JP. So basically, if you see one, it's a hack. Also, the oran can only have made one out of the three items, so at least two must be 100% hacks for sure. I assume, being oran he was a hunter, and being a hunter he made Dark Flow. This rules out bridge and meteor.
The whole oran JP player finding the gene, was most likely a myth. I personally dont believe, nor do I bother to tell people about it due to the fact there is no evidence supporting it.
olga drops it on ult. but his drop at all rate is set to 0%. so it will never drop.
you could see that there would have been a quest for it sooner or later (afaik quests can have altered DAR for enemies), but since its a common dupe by now, ST just doesnt bother anymore. its been tainted, so to speak.
Would be cool if they carried it onto Blue Burst at some point!
