I'd also get a Gamecube. Overall I've enjoyed it more than my DS so far, and with all the money your saving you can get plenty of the Gamecube classics you've missed up till now!

I say go for Gamecube, DS games are to easy to beat (there just not that long). Besides most DS games are remakes.
Down with PSP (if you do buy it, your gonna need innsuranse, lol, They break easily).
Most are remakes? :O Name one apart from Mario 64 DS that's a remake!
I say go for G-Cube, cheaper, more games out there (which are cheaper).
