ah well i dont really fancy creating a new character being a noob its hard for me to train to even 25 and you said viridia is a decent id so ill stick with it my characters name is Gust of wind

Whoops, man am I glad I came across this thread. I am a PSO:1&2 newbie myself, had the game for about 10 days, but I have been playing a LOT.

Right now I'm level 75 Greenill RAmar, I got into ultimate caves but it's still pretty hard for me, my weapon is a WALS-MK2, so i'm exping in v.hard until I level up some.

But about materials, I just pick up any material found and go "YAY!" and use it, (like that one guy said, lol) but I think I may have only used about 50 total, mostly Mind & Evade, then a little more uncommonly Defense & Power, and only found 3 luck material.

But now it seems I will need to do a little better planning on my part, I didn't know about this 'you can only use 250 total materials'.

But what is that site (PSOW?), where is that so I can check my character against it, will that let me know roughly how many mind materials I have used for example? Since I don't really remember the exact amount. But I'm pretty sure I've found the most mind material out of all the ones i've found and I have used every one, lol.

Ahahahahaha... sorry couldn't resist... Mind Materials are basically the last thing a RAmar will ever need. Their MST is pure crap, so even the boost from Materials won't make a large enough difference. My current stat plan has my RAmar getting 20 Mind Materials, so 20 out of 250 is very little.

A little tip on materials though. If you see an HP Material, use it! They don't affect your main limit. 125 HP Materials can be used on their own so just use them and eventually some day you won't be able to use any more of them.

dont use mind materials on a RAmarl man >.< seriously thats wastefull save them for a FOmar ^.^ they need 102 of them at least >.<
RAmarl's TP will never get high anyway so dont even bother on that bro ^.^
but otherwise you'll end up ok if u stop using them now lol

It's fine to use mind materials on a Ramarl, just don't use too many.

CVanD, the site is http://www.planetdreamcast.com/psoworld, go to the Characters section on the left under EP1&2, and EP4 and then you should find what your looking for. There's the base stats for all characters at every 5th level. So unequip your gear, get your stats, subtract the base stats for the level your at (must end in 5 or 0!), and divide the difference by 2 to get the amount of materials you used. I wouldn't suggest relying on info from there though because there are alot of errors in almost every other section.

Except luck materials... There aren't nearly enough of them out there... :ermm:

Ok cool, went to that PSOW site you gave link for (thanks) and checked and compared my stats. I had to wait until level 85 to test it out... there was one error in what it said, my ATA without any gear on was 151, and it said it should be 152, which makes me wonder how accurate the other stats were (which I couldn't tell because I had already used materials for every other stat) but for the most part I think it had it right, as the amount of materials I used "felt" like they matched up pretty close.

So after comparing, I've roughly used;

20 HP Materials

21 Power Materials
23 Defense Materials
14 Mind Materials
30 Evasion Materials
4 Luck Materials

Seems like I've used way more mind materials, but I guess I haven't. So I guess since HP materials don't count towards the max usage, I have used 91 materials... so I have 159 left to use up. Now I just need to plan them out.

Also I was reading up on there and found out that Grenill is a good ranger section ID (whew, lucked out there, I just randomly named my character, lol).

I've also found a Justy-23ST since my last post. I beat Del Rol Lie at level 80 I think it was(the caves boss on ultimate) but man, honestly I think it must have taken me like 40 minutes or more to kill him.

I actually was fighting him a couple hours, I would die, then change out some armor slots and change my hotbuttons around a little. Finally I found a configuration that worked, and I used 6 scape dolls but he finally went down.

Then I got to the mines, man this place kicks my butt. I can clear out some rooms but it takes a while, and I got too close to a trap once and it took me out in one hit. So I'm sticking to the forest and the caves for now in ultimate, and then the v.hard levels as well.

are u nuts? i have 80+ of those dang things >.< im about to either give them to my friend or just toss them >.< i dont feal like raising luck for long time >.<
