Heyas. I want to ask for some tips or ideas how to beat the last boss in Ep3 Big Shadow with the Arks. It was unexpected for me to fight this when i defeated Castor with Endu.
My only solution is to have 1-3 points monsters, assit vanish and tons of defence and actions cards in the Deck. It was hard with Big Shadows powerful monsters killing me in 2-3 turns. GOt any ideas?
(please don't move this to the EP3 section; it's where it belongs, but no one ever posts there... :ermm: )

I used Hyze along with Chaos Bringer, C-Bringer+, and an Arlan. (I had out an Arlan and one of the Bringers out at any one time and that filled the 8 cost limit.) Then I stacked them up with Action Cards and kept them next to Hyze to gain another AP. So, having Hyze helped alot, but you may need to use some other monsters.

Attack Action Cards that are useful: Split Boost (need it), Slash, Round Slay, Attack
Defense Action Cards that are useful: Resist (need it), Guard (it's a classic), HP Defense (usefull for defending strong monsters)
Assist Cards: Dice+1, and the ATP booster of whatever your deck is based on (Ruin Darkness, Mine Brightness, etc.) - don't use Assist Vanish, it' better to cover up his Assist Card with on of your own.

What monsters are you using?
Hmmm i usually use (Only for this first last boss cos it works) rag rappy, evil sharks and bomma. I only use these cos they are quite equal stats ( except rag cos its only a back up) they have less using up action points and have fair attack points.
I used stronger monsters in the past but i got defeated easily at the first great shadow boss. I almost defeat the very last boss until it brought up stronger monsters when i cut its life down to 27HP.
It always happen to me when it comes to bosses, you are on a role killing them with ease until they get serious by bringing up stronger monsters/ items and die when you have about 3-10 HP left to destroy.
Key to killing any boss:
- bring out your biggest beefiest monster that has a pooload of HP
- walk up to the little bugger
- do a combo starting with HP Attack (swaps AP and HP while attacking, hence you need alot of HP on the monster) then followed by:
--- FL/NA/AB/MC/DK Attack (whichever is your monster's), then followed by another of whatever the enemy is. (Ampla Umbra has nothing so you can't really do this) OR
--- FL/NA/AB/MC/DK Attack (whichever is your monster's), followed by a Split Boost

Using a Sinow Zele (15 HP), you can easily do 30 damage with a single strike.
Easy said than done. Im great with Hunters but Ark slightly hard when using monsters and use up most of your action points to move depends how many monster you got.
Big monsters are sometimes my weakness when it use up most of my 8 point limit and i wont able to block peoples moves to stop comin up to me and have to move instead of my monsters which uses most of my action points.
And plus i havt got that many decent monsters except C-sourcer and Great C-Sourcer (though it uses all of my 8 point limit)
And Its a possablity that i wont able to get dice 6 most of the time to use stronger monsters. I use weaker monster that has 3-5 attack points to block my opponets from moving and attack them around them (unless they have cross-slay or round-slay which is bad)
Anyway i only got like more item cards than monsters in my deck cos i play hunter more than Arks. Arks are fun but it takes too long and a bit hard to play as.
No, it's done pretty easily. You get 2 Dice+1 on the field and then you get a minimun roll of 3/3, or get a Dice Fever and Dice+1 and you automatically roll a 6/6 every time. Then you summon a S-Zele, and it will own. Firstly in the final match, you can place any monster practically anywhere (so it's good to start right next to Ampla Umbra), and then S-Zele's can teleport 9 blocks with no ATK cost.

Also, if you want to clear the field of all monsters (yours and his): Ampla Umbra will play "Meteor" later in the match (usually once he has a bunch of good monsters out.... fool) that brings every monster/item down to 1 HP, but not SC. Then if you play the card Quake, that'll kill all of his monsters, and yours (but yours are usually nothing in comparison to his, so it's still a good deal), and it does 3 damage to both SC's.
Yeah well the thin is that the cards you mentioned i havent even got. Its easy to kill as quickly just like that down to 30 or less HP.
May i ask what lvl is your offline card?
My strategy was completely different, but I'm sure that whiteninja's is actually better.

I used Rufina and a lot of Attack Action Cards, and a lot of Defense Action Cards. No monsters. (So that I took no damage from Castor's Carnage Uninclined.)

The Defense cards I used were - Resist (wonderful), Guard (solid), Weakness (also pretty wonderful), and some others I cannot remember.

The major Attack cards I used were - Split Boost, Beat, Mighty Knuckle, Assault, and Attack because it is solid.

You must also be wary of Amplum Umbra's Resists and the Assist Card "Flatland". This card allows him/her/it* to summon creatures anywhere. Which means right next to you. You need to get rid of this as soon as you can.

If you can keep his creatures away from you, then he can only do one attack a turn, and his Meteors will not affect you, so you only need to protect from 4 damage a shot.

Base life is 20 for this match. With Rufina, you get an additional 5.

It took me about four tries, but all you need is luck and a bit of strategy.

Hope this helps.

* I'm not sure what gender Amplum Umbra is. I'd like to think that she is the Profound Darkness, and therefore must be female (as was shown in PS4). I've no evidence to prove otherwise.

Clvoffline 40/Clvonline 1. You're level 27 and you still don't have those cards? I remember have S-Zele pretty early...

Using just Rufina sounds pretty good, but if you were to do that, you could pick some better AC's. Rufina gets 2x the AP added by an AC, but if the AC adds a "+?" then it doesn't count. So Attack would do +2 AP, Slash would be +4, but Split Boost would just do the dice you rolled, it wouldn't be doubled. So AC's that add a set AP can help alot.

Then again, S-Zele has the same AC doubling thing, but since it can use HP Attack, that doesn't really matter.
Well now im Lvl30. Like i said, i play Hunters more than Arkz. I only wanna play Endu just to see the sut scenes before i play again with a differnet character.
Oh yeah remember you said you used C-Bringer, how could he be that useful? I mean he only got 2 APs and hes fairly weak. Even i got an S-rank card of him first time.
