Recently I posted in forums multi-classing for characters
http://ragol.warcrafttavern.com/forums/s...php?t=8915
This got me to thinking what else PSO "lacks" compaired to other Role Playing Video Games. So I compiled a list and here is what I would like to have seen in PSO...
1. Character Class: Multiclassing, Changing Class, etc...
2. Character generation: Assigning attribute poits, selecting starting costume & equipment, more physical appearance options, etc...
3. Equipment Improvements: Having the Physical appearance of the character's equipment change ans the equipment changes or improves.
4. Equipment Slots: More equipment slots like rings and necklaces, etc...
5. Anything else that people would like to see also in PSO?
i think that there isn't much that you can customize on your character. the only things that are really customizable are hair color and your character's size. if there were more appearence options, it would be a lot of fun to fully customize your character.
What are you two talking about?! No customizations?! PSO is the most customizable game I've ever played!!!
You can pick from 3 classes, each with 4 characters...
Each character can have many different costumes, hair styles, hair colors, sizes, faces, skin colors, and names...
The name gives you an ID, from which you can get 10...
Those 10 have completely different dropcharts that you chose to get...
You can get a whole different amount of mags, 9 EP2 mags, in 18 colors, and several mag cell mags, some with 18 colors, some with only one...
You can choose the mag's PB's and stats...
You choose your material usage for your stats...
You choose your equipment to make your character look like a pimp...
You can get S-Rank weapons and actually name them...
You can change your hairstyle and costume whenever you want...
You can have 4 different characters on each memory card, and that allows you to have 4 times the amount of uniqueness...
Don't even get me started on the different types of decks and strategies you can do for EP3!!!
Edit: Of course there are obvious improvements, but those are mostly about stopping the duping/hacking/FSODing problems, and about making an "Uber Ultimate" mode where you have to be level 160 to play and every enemy is like a boss.
Have you ever played EQ, EQ2, EQOA, or FFXI? When I said customizations I was refering to how they would change in appearance when new different of armorare equiped. I agree with everything that was said, but your "uniqueness" never changes on appearance.
one sentance:Lack of Equipment.
You have to remember that PSO is a older game and they played online on dial-up. I'd hate to play EQ or WoW with dial-up on a 7-8(?) year old computer.

Personally I think you should just go play Final Fantasy.

I didn't realize that the forums were a place were people resented other people for their thoughts and ideas?
My post wasnt mean't to put PSO down in any way or hype another MMORPG. I was just making an observation on what I would've like to have seen.
But if I were to go and play FFXI I'd be able to atleast find a few more players to group with. Ive been playing PSO for over a month on XBox and there have not been a single soul online?
Uh cus most people play blue burst now. And you seem to be wanting PSO to be FF, but then it would be FF not PSO. Don't have a fit because you feel I "resented" you because I didn't. As a matter of fact I responded to your thoughts and ideas with my own thoughts and ideas. So you're getting upset over something I'm not supposed to when I'm not yet you think I am?
It's not that I wanted PSO to another MMORPG, I was just pointing out how far other RPGs have come from the DC days.
I know Im a Lonely Peon and dont know what the rank structure is but as a Staff Member I would've thought you'd want more people to be playing any Phantasy Star game instead of trying to run them off?
But maybe its the many years of putting up with "Blue Falcon" makes me wonder about peoples attentions. Maybe I need to check BB out just to see...
It's common sense and a way of life for people, (especially the ones who can afford to), to want to have the latest of something. PSO doesn't have to be like FF or anything else to be good because that's pointless. There may as well only be on game of each genre in the world is that case. You'll actually find the cube servers more active than xbox. Xbox is only regional. GC is worldwide.
Still I would look into blue burst if I were you.
Also my goal as staff member is neither to promote PSO or drive people away from it. So please don't get the wrong impresion as to what my job is on this site.
