My dad was sick from work yesterday, and someone went on his work computer (the computer he uses for drawing and designing in mastercam), they dled yahoo toolbar. His computer is now ----ed, pooched, finished. The yahoo toolbar, and the updated yahoo messenger install spyware on your computer. This spyware I have dealth with in the past and is a major pain in the ---- to get rid of as well. Yahoo also puts in variables into the registry to disable Adaware, Spybot, any antivirus program (unless u make ur own).
The yahoo disaster is also all over the web, people ----ing and complaining bout how ----ty it is, and what it has done to there computer. Yahoo signed a contract with some company (i think called ciara?) something like that, this company is a huge spyware/malware site. The yahoo pest patrol, is also programmed not to detect any of the major ad companies. The people who have looked into the programming of the yahoo messenger and toolbar. Are trying to figure out a yahoo killer program to destroy it completely from your computer.
Yahoo has become basically a huge messenging virus/spyware/malware program. They say you can only remove it through control panel *add/remove programs* even then sometimes it will not be listed. The other alternative is to format the harddrive/write 0's (writing 0's basically makes the harddrive like brand new again, no floating tibbits of information that when u do a format). When you do remove it, it has not been removed fully, yahoo has also put in the registry a randomzied generator value key, that will make pop ups on the computer, or make the computer run glitchy, also be subject to viruses/malware/spyware. This key will also shut off your firewall as well at random times.
Erm, so yeah. Not many pleased people out there bout what yahoo did.
So people that are using yahoo applications. Have fun trying to get rid of it . Im glad i havent installed it after this nuke I did lol. but from what i read, the yahoo email service is still fine, because it doesnt ask to you dl ne type of program yet.
