Yes because this further exploits and sterotypes females and it's because of idoitic actions like that AND you men's overly large amount of masculine that has given most men the idiotic personailty that they have today. *glares*

yeah but theres not much that can be done about it, things advertised that way sell, so they do it, they don't care about much else.

I reckon you're looking too much into it. It's a clever marketing scheme.
Step 1 - It catches man's attention.
Step 2 - He thinks it would look good on his girlfriend / wife.
Step 3 - He thinks how easy it would be to claim it's to benefit her (keeping warm and such)
Step 4 - He buys it.
Step 5 - The company get's money. CHA-CHING!!

Thus is further proof of the idiotcy in charge of marketing these days. *sigh*
