My brother and I are quite into the gameboy Pokémon games (again), so I was thinking of getting Gale of Darkness. Is it as easy to trade Pokémon between game boy and Gamecube versions as it was in Colloseum? Also, presuming we can trade as much as possible between all GBA versions, are there any pokémon we would need from the two Gamecube games to complete it?

Thanks, I open someone who knows about it can help! Wink
I liked the pokemon games from blue/red to gold/silver but know i think they are going over the top with them. I think the trading will be done with the GBA to GC link cabe. I am not that sure of it as I ahve never played Colloseum but that is what I am guessing.
You can't really trade between all of the gameboy pokemon games Firered/Leafgreen can trade between Emerald, ruby, and sapphire but sadly not red, blue, yellow, silver, gold, and crystal. They can also trade in collosium and I think gale of darkness I'm not sure, useing the the GBA-GC link cable.
I'm guessing all the new Pokémon games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Collosium and Gale of Darkness) are intertradable, but that's just a wild guess.

If GoD is anything like Collosium, I'm steering well away from it.
Ok, I'm afraid I knew most of that stuff already Tongue

The main thing I'm asking is:

Do you need Colloseum or Gale of Darkness in order to complete the GBA game pokédexes?

Thanks!
I really doubt it. I mean, they haven't added any new pokémon, have they? Actually, Lugia's in GoD, right? Well maybe it and other Gold / Silver version pokémon are exclusively in GoD?
If you put Gale of Darkness into initials you get GoD.
If I get GoD, I'm hoping that Eevee (which is confirmed) is close enough to the start of the game so that I can replay it to get six.

I want this party:
Eevee
Flareon
Jolteon
Vaporeon
Espeon
Umbreon

I can get the Umbreon and Espeon from Colloseum, and I have a Vaporeon in Fire Red. I need three more Eevees.
No because you can just trade between the games my freind I hope that answers your question. :S
Lugia is currently exclusive to Pokemon XD if you live in the UK - this is the only newly available Pokemon.

And for the completists.

Pokemon Channel: Jirachi
Pokemon Coleseum: Ho-oh
Downloadable Via Snail Mail till Dec 31st 2005: Deoxys

You can get Mew, Ho-oh and Lugia are all available on the GBA games, but no tickets have been made available yet. I have no idea how Celebi will be released.
