or i spouse you could set the health to +100%.. but couldnt you just block the attack?
Nope. Not even then, even without any defense boosting ability, 100 is a little more than half power. Very peculiar. Apparently 100% isn't really 100 damage.
I know exactly how it is. Man, Setzuka is also someone I have issues fighting against. Her speed is ridiculous. Her combos are a little sketchy, but hey, who can ever notice, due to the fact that she's all over the place in one second?
Well, don't fight me with Yunsung, otherwise your gut wont be intact. xD
aaaah yunsung, a friend of mine was playing with one of my katanas, putting himself in horrible pathetic poses and trying to attack with it, he came out with a "sword under the leg move" which i laughed at for a while, it was hilarious!
Then i play as yunsung for the first time and what does he do!? exactly the same! EXACTLY!

Oh yeah, Wagging Tail. I'm gonna make a weaponry thread again, like old times...I'll put it in general chat so we can talk about weapons and stuff.
Haha, but yeah, Yunsung is really good, you need to get used to his really wuick combos though, if you're less than a second off it can ruin you with Yunsungs pretty long-lasting recovery times. It's one of the reasons I like to use Raphael better, but I think in general, Raphael might be better. I had him and Yunsung fight together on the highest difficulty. Raphael won 8 times and Yunsung won 2. Regardless, I'll still use both.
Some characters are like poison to others, you just have to know who works best against who.
Talim vs Siegfried, if she gets close he's finished. If he's any good, she just dies.
Well, then you kinda just contradicted yourself. It's a skill thing, really. I mean, Kilik, ANYONE can get close to him and if they have skill probably whoop him pretty good, since most of his attacks are slow in shorter range.
However, as in just about everything. Think your opponent has a weakness, and it becomes his strength. If they're any good, they've surely come with a plan to exploit this weakness. It's a matter of being able to read your opponent and to act on your observations. That's why I keep my eye on my opponent and not my character.

In SC2 me, my bro, Colohue and KYLE would have great winner stays on fights, they lasted quite a while with allsorts of guard impacts, grabs combos and dodges, i hope we can get back to that sort of level on SC3.
guard impacts! time it right and earn yourself a combo in your opponents face, fail though, and pretty much get the same back :/
Yeah...alot of times it's a bit more safe to block. I try not to risk it so much unless I'm completely certain as to what attack it is, otherwise I always know when to block high or low. And it's especially fun to Guard impact the unblockables...So much recoil <3
simple ducking can work wonders too, especially with nightmare or sigfried, then comes the flapjack!

theres a third soul calibur? news to me *looks confuzzled*
Well, now that you know, buy it.
