basically, we start a year earlier than you, and go: year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, lower sixth (12) upper sixth (13).

And the '6th form' refers to it being the 6th year in most secondary schools, starting at year 7.

well, actually, it starts at year 6- in england we go year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, (into secondary school) 1st year, second year, etc. 5th year, lower 6th (at year '12', or '6') upper sixth (year 13 or 7) then into college, then into uni.....

We do it slightly different here then, I guess.

year 1-6, primary school
year 7-11 secondary school
year 12 lower 6th form
year 13 upper 6th.

GAH! It's storming outside AGAIN! We just got 50cm of snow... wow... this town is going to be buried in white...

That's exactly the same as us.

And snow? Again?! Stop complaining and have some fun! I've only seen snow about 3 times in my life!
