I watched Charlie and The Choclate Factory, the new one. That was a fuckin terrible movie. The director should be shot for the changes he made to it. The actors should be shot for agreeing to do it like that. I demand that I be refunded the time I spent watching that terrible movie.

really, i watched both movies and i think the first one is actually a piece of shit, while tim burton made a perfect movie out of the remake. there is no weakly acted, filmed or directed scene in this whole movie. try to make a better one.

I never went to see it.... didn't see the point as I liked the first one. Remakes can be good. Though some can ruin a movie.

One of the more major flaws was Johnny Depp's creepy performance of Willy Wonka. The Oompa-Loompa songs were a catastrophe, they were alot less stupid in the original. Also why the hell did they get rid of the fizzy drink scene? They also made the end absolutely stupid, Willy isnt supposed to hate his father, nor is he supposed to say Charlies family cant come to live at the factory with them.
Oh, and you give me a couple million and I'll gladly make a better movie than that pile of shit.
I personally like the new charlie and the chocolate fatory film, i like the original too, but i prefer the new one. But that may be because im a big fan of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. But i think it is very well acted by Johnny Depp.
Definitely for the old. Gene Wilder makes a much better, and more accurate Willy Wonka than Johnny Depp. Sure, everybody loves him, but he makes a scary Willy Wonka. The movie in itself was absolutely horrible and a mockery of both the novel and it's superior predecessor.
the old one is better.. and now that i hear some of the differences i wonder what went through their minds. how can you take stuff out and change BIG things like that?

I did see the old one, but my hatred for Johnny Depp (not that i hate him, but the fact that he stars in willy wonka=really scary!) and the fact that i was far too freaked out by the new...errr...wierd look of the movie kept me from seeing the remake. The old willy wonka movie is amazing! i don't know what to say about the new one, but the fact that i was too creeped out to see it is proof enough for me that the old one is better.
