stay in 4th. once you get a star. get in 2nd to catch up to the snaker *dont use the star* and hit him with the star then back up and hit him again like 3 or 4 times XD.

Getting dongle on friday, i do know how to snake but will refuse to do it online and yes that is funny for the snaker in question. It may just put them off/make them disconnect lol.
i avoid snakers as much as possible, when online when it shows their records if its a unbelievable record like 300-20 i dc before the the character select screen comes up so it wont count as a loss.
ok i think i kinda know what snaking is, but what is the "real" definition?
i posted it in some mario kart thread round here...
but its when you powerslide turbo boost on corners and straightways by power slide boosting from one side of a straightway to the other makeing a snake-like motion. very cheap imo. and its very harsh to do it to noobs T-T.
As disturbing as it is though... it's a neccessity to be able to come anywhere close to beating the better people out there. Sure, not snaking works for noobs, but those people with the good records that aren't people that just yank out their wi-fi when they're going to lose (too damn many of those people), then it's your only hope.
I always finish a round even if I'm going to get trashed. Thus the losses on my record that weren't handed to me by Orphen XD.
snaking is no skill. it takes skill to snake. but if the person with the good record doesnt snake and the other guy has to snake to beat him, and won by snaking, the guy that didnt snake has more skills. unless he happened to get 500 wins by facing noobs.
i would be like 100-19 right now, no joke. but people ALWAYS dc. ;-;
It's a technique, and surely one that takes as much skill as any other? :S
of course it takes skill, im just to lazy to do it.
I don't know how to snake and i don't intend to learn either. If i see a snaker i'll just d/c and aswell as getting a dongle on friday (for our whole family) I'm hopefully getting MK.
