Revo-Europe.com Wrote:Contact, a new DS RPG being developed by Grasshopper (the makers of Killer 7), has seen an update to its official Japanese website. Of particular note, the Nintendo WiFi Connection logo is now prominently displayed on the top page, though the precise of these online features is still unrevealed. The title "Contact" itself could certainly prove telling however.

The game, which will allow the player to direct characters realtime in battle, offers varied customization options for the main character in the form of different costumes and "skills". Graphically, Contact combines some sharp realistic backdrops with vivid, brightly colored sprites. Some screens (and brief story notes for Japanese readers) can be seen here. Going here will allow you to view some character art from the game, and clicking here will take you to some cool downloadable desktop images.

The game, to be published by Marvelous Interactive, is due in Japan at the end of March 2006. Presently, the game is unannounced for Western markets.

An RPG being made by the makers of Killer7 that's also to be online using Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection... gimme gimme gimme! Big Grin
yay yay yay! may have to buy that undercover though....
Killer 7 sucked.....-__-; Nice premise....REALLY BAD execution though. I would like to see how this new idea works out. Will it be a 'Diablo-esque' dungeon crawler, or more like FFTA/Ragnarok Online......????
Talking of RPG's, i've found some more news regarding more DS Online-ness that i think will make a few more people smile:

Computer&VideoGames.com' Wrote:...it appears that we can all look forward to the DS's first proper Pokémon RPG incarnations, Diamond and Pearl, with fully functioning Wi-fi Connection play.

Speaking on the Gamefreak website, Pokémon director Junichi Mysada has revealed that the developer has big things up its sleeve for the forthcoming DS games. As well as making full use of the handheld's "special" features - that'll be touchscreen, mic and magical teleportation button, then - Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will follow in the footsteps of Mario Kart DS et al by being fully online. Although it's all still in the early stages of planning at the moment, it looks like online battles and chat are on the cards. Hopefully though, Nintendo will finally relax a little and ease some of its Draconian Friend Code measures which have so far hampered Mario Kart DS and Wild World from becoming true online greats.
