Now of course, if you're one of the older members, you'll remember this thread, which prospered a good several thousand posts the last time it was up, and I decided, with new members, that it should be recreated. I think it will be a bit of fun. Basically, state your weapons that you possess or are proficient with in real life.

I own a Katana that I call Sange, for obvious reasons, once it's actually seen. I also own Cloud's (Final Fantasy VII) Buster Sword. I prefer it higher over katanas, mainly because I don't really care too much for Katana's, I mainly use the one I have for one-handed longsword practice, with an armguard/buckler. I also have a wooden katana that is more ideal for this. Tongue

Of course I obviously can't go swinging a huge sword around my house, so to be safe, I have 9lb and 12lb workout poles which I use in their place in areas of rather vast space. They're pretty much equal the weight.

I'm also good with rapiers, granted I took fencing for a fine fraction of my life. However, I own none. I have a wooden one...but...yeah.
Poo Fly has a few!
i have a katana, wakazashi and an ornamental dagger, i prefer the wakazashi overall, i have much more control due to its smaller size, that and i don't have much space at all Tongue

EDIT: i think i remember the older thread now i think about it...
I have my wits lol, and a couple of shuriken and some old throwing knives.
Had the knives for over 15 years now and they still fly well.
I own a staff made from oak, I own a dagger it's dull of course I'm good with my fists and wreasling moves and a few of my own Big Grin . I'm going to get a Bokudo (wooden sword) real soon.
Ah, Orphen, I remember this thread well. I believe it was the second thread I posted in right after joining Ragol.*nods* Yes, well the same still applies for me as back then. I'm proficient with swordplay, I own two bokken (They aren't called bokudo...... -_-; ) And a graphite bo. I'm deadly with a bo, as I can stay away from an attacker, and it's easier to transport and conceal than a sword or dagger. I'm also proficient with handstaves, more in the style of Ninjitsu (Ninpo, Shiobi-no-jutsu, ect.) of defensive/offensive fighting. As one of the instructors at the martial arts academy is a sixth degree dangun in Ninpo. I can also wield chains and ropes in the style of Ninjustu. But when it comes to actually defending myself..... guns>everything else. The everything else I take is just incase there's not a gun around.

Wow that sounded like an NRA assinine statement.
Yeah, the two workout poles I have can be very easily classified as bos, however, they're just very heavy.
I forgot to mention I am also proficient with Scythes...however, I find them a little messy, you know?
Of course I am probably better fighting unarmed than with anything else, granted I took Jeet Kune Do for a very long point in time, and have learned alot from it. Once, I was in a bit of a pinch with 5 guys wielding master locks (Which are rather proficient at breaking bone) and managed to get myself out of that mess with a fractured right hand...which is actually lucky, because I pulverized the crap out of them when I realized that they fractured my hand. Lots of kicks and some very well-enforced punches, from the training i've been in, and even put myself through today, my fists are tough as steel.

Of course, I can't thank anything more than my local grocery store milk. <3
sounds like you know what you were doing ^^

i definately can't say i'm good at using any of my weapons, i have had no traing with any and probably wont get any, my kick is quite strong though Wink
yew longbow and a carbon-fibre crossbow family faveoriteSmile
Jeet Kune Do is supposed to be pretty rough, Bruce Lee developed it from Wang Chun. Cool stuff. I myself take a mixture of JKD and several other styles. We're more of a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) academy than anything else. It helps that we have black belts that come from all over the state 1-2 a week as well.
It was really rough. I try to train daily, especially to keep the legs flexible enough. Some of my kicks can break a person's jaw, which I almost did during that one fight actually. I think I dislocated it, though, tried not to KILL them, because that would leave a law-suit, as well as some unnecessary bloodshed on my hands. No need to waste time on a bunch of street punks really.
