Yes, there is. There is a program that you can use to completely back up your files onto your computer, then if it corrupts, you can move the backed-up files back onto the memory card. Of course, I really cannot post it here, and I'm not going to go into further detail until I actually get it to work. (I have gotten very close but not quite...)
Really, backups will do just fine. But I cannot post about them.
Then there is Sodaboy's SPSOF thing that was mentioned here a long time ago... though he released the full proxy a while back, allowing you to FSOD/PK/corrupt other people... so no posting that here anymore either.
Or for FSOD protection, you could use the free server, but once again, no posties.

Just for the sake of information...
A lot of people still play PSO online on the XBox because XB is just that 1337 of a multiplayer gaming platform. Now granted, there aren't that many ships filled, only one really. But it has a lot of rooms and a lot of players. I can't play it online, because I can't afford the Hunters liscense. (which I think is really stupid... *grumblehunterslicenseplusxboxliveisalotofmoneygrumble*) But yeah lots of people play it.
yeah i play 1 and 2 plus for gc... thats all i got =P cant play it on anything else.
I play phantasy star 1 and 2 plus to. I would go online but don't have the online thing.
If I were to buy Episode 3 and download Blue Burst, would it be worth the hunters license for these 3 games, and would it count for PSU when it comes out? If not I wont bother.
I don't think it will count for psu but pso3 works with the hunter license.I think its worth it but i don't think there alot of people playing pso3....
