I know that you are probably all going to laugh at me, but does SegaNet cost anything to use? I was also wondering if any of the servers are still up. Please, help me! I love my Dreamcast, but it's lost it's charm a bit. If you can help me out with this, it could revive my DC for me!
Seganet was discontinued in 2002. The gaming service ran for 2 years; despite initial popularity with gamers, the Dreamcast's continued market losses were making the internet matchmaking venture too unprofitable for Sega. Seganet initially had a fee of $10/month, but was made free in August of 2002, just a few months before Seganet was shut down for good.
Well, i suppose that makes sense... still a bit sad though.
Aww...No more DC fun, then?I should have played more back then...I miss it.
some games can still be played online
star lancer, 4*4......, pso, quake 3 arena.
unreal tournament is down due to seganet.
belive me, many players of PSO still play online, many play quake or star lancer.
dreamcast is not dead.
Really? Then all is not lost,i can play online again...Its free, right?
it has the cost of a telephone comunication
you are using internet so you must pay
in the case of pso, if you wich to play on a private server, you will need codebreaker (cheaer disk) and 3 codes.
if you want to play pso on a common server, just go online with the serial number and play.

I posted on the wrong topic hahahahah
I played a LOT online with my DC using the codebreaker trick. It's really worth it...

i once used the disk to cheat....but......i couldn't, to vmu was always busy and i couldn't load my char, so i quited the cheater way, and in my opinion non cheats players are the best
