I don't really think the leap between game graphics is THAT huge, but it has drastically improved. I thought the PSO graphics were great though. I think the graphics for PSU have not been an improved version of the PSO graphics, but more like a whole new design.
I don't even no if its the graphics that excites peole, so much as its the "Somrthing new" feel of it. Even if the graphics were worse I stil probably would get it because all I see is new experiences ahead of me.
agreed; I have never cared how good or bad graphics are, but I still get excited when they're good!
So optimistic!! I'm happy now! (breathes in and out, negativity.gone.peace)LOL!!
uh-huh, and smiley blonde guy with funny sparkly stuff isn't optimistic enough!
The graphics wouldn't be all that much better compared to PSO because all the screenshot's you have seen are from the PlayStation2 version (Or maybe PC if you've seen BETA screenshots). Compare how large and how much gameplay is in PSU in comparison to PSO, and for that to be made available on PS2, the graphics are IMO probs as good as you'd get on this platform. Xbox360's version of Universe though will see an improvement in graphics and i'd expect that version to be quite magical!
yeah, the graphics are INSANE! they just don't look like an improvement on PSO's, but more like a whole new style of graphics, making them a lot better. I can't wait to play this game! hope they fix it up soon after BETA ends so we can play it!
Kitsadoodles, and yoshi if you don't mind me asking, but what platforms are you gonna play it on?
It really depends on whether Sonic Team enable Xbox Live & SEGA server sharing. If yes, Xbox360. If no... maybe Xbox360, but probabily PC!

Yeah... It sure seems that way

Althought the texturing and models to some degree may look similar that's down to style. If you look at things like polygon counts I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. Also, look at the surroundings and effects, they're nothing to sniff at.
