OK... So I just installed PSO:BB and tried to start a game using my account from the Open Beta, and it just hangs. It just gives me some message from the server with the moving background image.

Any ideas?
What's the message? It could be a possibility that Sonic Team have deleted your account if you haven't played since the open BETA?

Also... have you got a Hunters License?
Ah wait.. If I leave it a while, it lets me know that I cannot connect to the patch server. Do I need to make any config changes or firewall changes? Software firewall says that all is OK.

I don't have a hunters license.. but I want the trial it told me I'd get from open beta!

Since I am also getting exactly the same message today we could assume the patching server is overloaded or down. Should be up and running soon!

Edit:

I just attempted to patch BB on the family PC, same issue. It must be a server problem (unless my router is acting like a pile of wang!)
If it's something server related, then go take a peeky around the official Blue Burst forums (Technical Help board): http://www.psobb.com - Though you probabily knew that already Wink

Maybe you should try temporarily disabling your net security to see if that maybe the problem?
i know character deletion shouldn't be a problem, everyone who has returned from the beta onwards have found their characters all safe and intact ^_^

Don't have any, so that's okay Tongue

Edit: I found my problem I think. My router has an in-built firewall and I need to set my MDU down to whatever it is that PSO:BB needs. It must be around 1400. I seem to recall it's 1420, I'll look into it.

Edit: Actually stuff that I'll just switch to my old modem when I need to download a patch. Zero protection FTW!
