A NINTENDO "deep throat" seems to have overestimated his drinking capacity and let slip the release date for Nintendo's up and coming console, the Wii.
French gaming website, Impact Virtuel, ici, claims it took an unnamed Nintendo executive out to lunch, got him sozzled and he revealed to them the "magic date" of October 30.
Apparently the executive forgot that journalists have a legendary ability to remember word for word quotes while they are completely legless and carried on rabbiting on thinking that no-one would remember.
He told them that he was planning to have a Wii in Japan at the end of November and would then have a big release ten days after in USA and in Europe.
Of course all that talk of Wii meant he had to head to the gents several times.

I bet they will change the release date to a little later now so that they can claim they were holding nothing from gamers everywhere, or so that they can claim they wouldn't let slip top secret info just because of the old booze
