the machines there are very hard to kill, and the only thing that i have is an handgun, i can't think of myself doing meele on that zone, they would kill me fast.
so what do you do to overcome this zone, do you meele or not?
Depends entirely on two things.Whether or not i'm soloing(sometimes i run with sis)And also what form of character i'm using.If i'm with sis,i'll go for melee,whereas alone i will melee with a hunter,but shoot with a ranger.
so you meele witha hunter, then congratulations, i never tought it could be possible.
Just go to train until they don't scare you any more.
Maybe it's worse on v2. On GC it's entirely possible to melee them. I'd agree mines is not a HU paradise, but depending on the class, there are options. The non-droids get Jellen and Zalure to use on them, after which they can try a slicer (not really meleeing, but... yeah
). Droids can just use freeze traps and then hack away with a powerful sword.
But in single mode, there's really no crime in using powerful mechs anyway (at least in mines).

Seriously though, I do melee with my Humar in Mines because GC is so much easier. I don't use things like Swords and Double Sabers though, since they are slow. Partisans and Daggers are better for that area... Kireek, can you get any mechs? Because they would seriously help you...

i may melee small groups of enemies or stragglers, but for the most part i pull out a slicer/shot to deal with large groups (or sword on HUcl) and a handgun/rifle to deal with singles a long way away.

mechs........that is even worse, due to the evasion even a 50%machine with 40% hit would miss alot.
if on the forest a no hit mech misses 7 of the 9 shots then on the mines....
i simply can't understant how do you meele with those criatures, even if they are easyer, they have reaction that make them diferent from the other criatures, before you can do a combo, you will get a hit, and sinow blues/red, that is even worse.
Who said anything about combos?Zap them with any Zonde spell,and hope for paralysis.When that happens,hit them as much as you like.
