I used to believe that these were rare enemies in the mines, before i came to the conclusion that they are the the things you had to kill to destroy dubchic/dubchich, anyways, my little brother, who had version 1 or 2 (i forget) on the PC for a while claims to have found one a little while before he uninstalled it.
so, are they the the little floating machine thing? or are they nameless, and dubwitchs/divuiks were actually rare in the older PSO versions?
Personally, methinks the little git was lying :3
I haven't seen the name in any iten drop charts, so i think its probably the floating things.

Exactly. They have names, but they aren't really enemies (also, they have no drop rates) . They are the switches to destroy Dubchics/ Dubchichs all at once.
The odd thing is that the switches themselves do not have a name when you target them. Personally, I think that the names refer to these switches, as I have yet to see any rare enemies in the mines AT ALL, on Dreamcast or Gamecube.
Poo Fly, I think that your brother was lying!
Maybe they aren't actually proper enemies as such.... There aren't any rare enemies in the mines, this is from the 100's of runs I have done through the mines and as far as I'm concerned there really doesn't need to be a rare enemy in the mines.
In Ep1&2, rare enemies can only be found in Forest, Caves, Temple and Central Control Area (including Towers, I think).
There are no rare enemies within the Mines or Ruins, nor in the Spaceship. I don't think that there are any in the Seabed either.
