I usually wind up calling it "Violent Operations" simply because... I think it's a fitting name with "Vol Opt" as short term. After all... it just goes and attacks you... thus it's a pretty violent program.
But anyways... thankfully XP hasn't BSODed me in awhile... which is somewhat disturbing.
Windows XP BSOD's much less frequently compared to the previous Windowses. Maybe by Windows Vista there will be no blue screen.

Forgive me Vol, typographical error. At least I spelled it right in the title.
Edit: XD I just noticed you changed your name! I was about to point out that you had Kefka's avatar.

i guess thats compensation for the fact it takes up more system resources than most games do then >.>
edit: you should have changed your sig and avatar while you were at it, kef

Oh, okay, thanks then! I'm too used to typing 'Volt'. Pssh, 's no excuse.
Yes, jarl, but the new computers today are supposed to be able to handle having more system resources taken up.
Edit: "rescourses"? Can't type for biscuits today --_--
Or you can just turn off the 1300 eye candy features and work in a basic enviornment.

just because something can doesnt mean it should. vista being such a resource consuming program (1Ghz and 512 mb RAM min- the min specs. of most 6 month old games) means that quite a lot of people would have to upgrade their current computers to run it. Also, just because a new computer
can handle the increased workload, doesnt mean it should. Thats like saying 'oh, you can carry 50 kilograms in a backpack if you have to. At the moment you're carrying 5 around, which is acceptable, but now im going to make you carry round 20 KG, which means if you need to, you can only carry another 30, instead of another 45'. The idea of an operating system is that it runs quitely, unnoticed in the background. i fail to see how such a resource hogger is either unnoticed or in the background of a computer- unless you have a fairly modern computer, in fact, vista will probably take up more resources than any other program you run.
I'm completely with you. You'd think that the more technology advances, the less resources would be required. Yes, it's probably getting more efficient overall, but I'm not convinced that having all those '1300 eye candy features' and what they call 'increased security' needing to take up all that extra memory is all beneficial. It's all very PC-gamers'-pockets-unfriendly. I doubt that even Volt- AGHH-- Vol Opt ver.2 would be able to run it without an upgrade. I doubt he's even on XP.

vol opt is one of some master computers in mines right.
do you think pionner1 did a master computer with such a low operating system?
Yeah, nowadays if anyone's gonna make a super master-computer it runs some form of Linux... so it won't crash every 30 seconds...
