Ragol.co.uk PSO: Blue Burst Battle Tournament!
Posted by: Lee-yoshi - 30-11-2005, 10:01 PM - Forum: Ragol.co.uk Contests! - Replies (9)

 • Event Date: Sunday 15th January 2006
 • Starting Time: 9pm GMT
 • For more information, check out our Mini-Site!

Ragol.co.uk is at last playing host to the very first Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst Tournament, where the best show their skills and take the crown while the rest battle hard but end up with a frown!

In our first take on the Blue Burst Battle scene, we're going "Classic" stylee. You remember Ragol.co.uk's first Episodes I & II Battle Tournament on the Nintendo Gamecube back in September 2003? Well we're bringing it all back and doing the exact same thing, this time, with Blue Burst.

Singles Competition

The aim of this competition is to (obviously) win every battle you're given! All entrants are assembled into tournament brackets. The person who is also in your bracket is your opponent. You play that match, and when that's over and done with, the result is reported, and the winner gets moved into the next set, with the loser staying behind. Once you've won the last bracket final match, you've won the whole thing, and you're ready to get yourself ported into the Ragol.co.uk Hall of Fame for all the world to see, aswell as recieving a special winners prize!

Matches

All matches are played all in the same day, so make sure you're prepared!

Registration for the event starts at 9pm GMT in 05: Oceanus:06-01, and the competition will start soon after the brackets are filled, so make sure you're there A.S.A.P! The event is strictly first come first served, so if you're too late, you're not in. However, stick around incase someone else drops out! The competition is open to anyone no matter where they live, and the starting time is 9pm due to the amount of American and otherwise International users we have who may wish to compete alongside those of European and U.K. nationality! Note the starting time will therefore differ as 5pm is the starting time in Greenwich Mean Time.

Once the brackets are filled, matches start bracket dependant and take on the procedure noted above, which are all played in real-time. Be prepared for a fair few matches if you're going on to be the winner!

When your matches are played, please report them to the appropriate Ragol.co.uk Officials who will be around on the day organising the event, TBA.

Rules

When playing a match, all participants should meet in Oceanus Server, Block 6, and setup a game when ready. The game title can be anything, the Game Mode must be set to 'Battle'. When choosing a battle mode, select 'Battle Rule #2'.

All matches MUST be played on Rule #2.

[MOST KILLS WINS]

You can only use items found on the arena ground to fight

Ragol.co.uk Xmas Banzai! Bet Online Fun!
Posted by: Lee-yoshi - 30-11-2005, 09:54 PM - Forum: Ragol.co.uk Contests! - Replies (59)

It's Bet Online Fun as Ragol.co.uk resurrects the crazy Japanese/English game show (If you can call it that!)... Banzai!

What... the funk?

Have you ever seen the TV Show Banzai? Normally shown on E4 or Channel 4 in the U.K. over a year ago now. Whether you have or haven't, the main aim of this innovative one time christmas contest is to bet your way to victory! And don't worry, there's no age requirements here...

The main aim of this game is to finish off with as much Ragol.co.uk Meseta as possible.

Everyone starts with 100 Meseta, whether you start off on 1st December or 24th December 2005! Every Thursday, a question will be asked, and several possibilities will be given alongside their betting odds.

You simply post in our Forums (Here) anytime up until the time the next bet starts, with the possibility you think is reality, and also post how much Ragol.co.uk Meseta you wish to bet with.

Then, every Thursday when a new question is posted alongside new possibilities and odds, will be every forum members Ragol.co.uk Meseta account based upon whether or not you guessed correctly or not (And yes, the outcome will also be revealed). If you guessed incorrectly, you lose all the Ragol.co.uk Meseta you used to bet with. If you guessed correctly, your Meseta is increased relative to the betting odds of the possibility in the first place.

The person who has the most Ragol.co.uk Meseta on Christmas day wins a special place in our Ragol.co.uk Hall of Fame, and a special prize!

Confused? There's an example in our mini-site!

Rules & How to Enter

All questions will be and all bettings must be posted in this Ragol.co.uk Forum Thread - Note this Thread will be heavily moderated so make sure you stick by the Forum Rules closely and make sure every post you make there clearly states your bet (I.e. The possibility and amount of Ragol.co.uk Meseta) so it stands out amongst any other statements you make. Make sure you also only post once in this thread before each new question. If you wish to change your bet in any way, simply edit your post beforehand. Accounts won't be worked out until the new question is posted.

Happy Betting!

 Ragol.co.uk Xmas Forum Signature Competition!
Posted by: Lee-yoshi - 30-11-2005, 09:51 PM - Forum: Ragol.co.uk Contests! - Replies (45)

A popular competition on the forums in their own right, we're testing your Signature skills to the maximum, especially for christmas!

Wotcha Gotta' Do...

You should know the objective here, simply make a Signature image that's within the Forum's Limits/Rules (400x100 - It doesn't matter if you normally make them this small, or will ever use it!). You can use whichever tools you fancy, and it can contain pretty much anything, as long as, again, they adhere to the Forums Rules (I.e. No Offensive Language or Nudity... maybe partial!).

A good signature will contain your Forum Username, and sensible use of colours... but this doesn't have to be the case, as it often isn't!

How to Enter

Simply post your signature image in this Ragol.co.uk Forum Thread! Please make sure you post the image up seperately in your post, and don't just use the message (Look at my current sugnature) or otherwise.

Good luck, and Have fun!

Ragol.co.uk is hosting more then a singles event on Blue Burst this Christmas, we're getting the Teams involved too in this innovative competition!

Towards the Future Challenge

The aim of this competition is to get through the 'Towards the Future' Quest as fast as you can with your most elite members in your officially registered PSO: BB Team. If you're the team with the fastest record of completing the quest, then you've won a trip into the Ragol.co.uk Hall of Fame for all the world to see, aswell as recieving a special winners prize!

What exactly needs to be done

'Towards the Future' is added to the English version of Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst on 22nd December. What you need to do is assemble a team and get through and finish the quest in the fastest possible time. This doesn't mean you have kill every enemy, or collect every item, you simply have to dash as fast as you can!

The Leaderboard is updated regularly, so don't be afraid to submit your first fastest time as soon as you get it to set the standard for other teams to beat! If your team completes the quest in a faster time at a later date, just resubmit your entry and your time will be updated.

Rules & How to Enter

The rules of the competition are as follows:
 • Your team can consist of upto 4 members, however the overall character level for this competition is Level 500. This means that if the level of all the members in the team playing through the quest for this competition is over Level 300 combined, then you will not be eligable for entry.
 • The Team of combatants must be in the same Blue Burst Team, and must be proved with a lobby photo/snapshot.

When you submit your entry, please send an E-Mail to [email protected] (Including the wording 'TTF COMP' in the Subject Line) with the following information:
 • Team Name
 • 1 Snapshot showing your teams overall finishing time of 'Towards the Future'
 • 1 Snapshot showing your team (Preferably playing through the quest)
 • 1 Snapshot showing the members are all on the same registered Blue Burst Team
 • Contact E-Mail Address
 • Any other information you wish to include

* Please E-Mail all Snapshots in JPG form instead of BMP format if possible please! *
