Posted by: K_I_R_E_E_K - 12-10-2005, 02:51 PM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (13)

why so many people consider ver.2 harder then ep1&2
- the drops are higher on dc
- the bosses on ep1&2 give you more exp

i just want to know why.....
these are thye differences between them (faq from psoworld)

What is PSO Ep 1 & 2
It is the third installment of the PSO series and is out on the Gamecube Platform. Includes the original PSO for Dreamcast, plus an all-new adventure, Episode 2. Episode 2 is a new full-length adventure.

Will you need the original version of PSO to play?
No. This is a completely separate game on a completely separate platform.

What's new in Episode 1 & 2?
What's new in Episode 1 & 2? Many things, for example:

Mags

- New GC mags - MAGs don't lose synchro when joining new team.
- MAGs lose 5% synchro when you die, even if revived.
- MAGs can't be sold.
- Mags have a 4th evolution.

Characters

- 3 new character classes.
- Fomar, Hucasceal & Ramarl.
- Androids can use traps in all modes.
- Androids can regain HP when standing still.
- Newmans can regain TP when standing still

Techniques

- Shifta and deband won't over-ride current shifta/deband if it's a lower level.
- Shifta and Deband won't overright Jellen and Zalure if its a lower level, same holds true for the reverse.
Techniques now have new strength/power stats and uses different MST amounts.
- Cant jellen a Sinow Red if your Jellen is lower than his shifta - Anti up to Lvl 7.
- Female non Force techs goes up to Lvl 20.
- RAmar-lv 15 techs-No Jellen/Zalure.
- HUmar-lv 15 techs-No Shifta/Deband.
- Non FO tech users-No Reverser/Megid/Grants

Look

- Redesigned Pioneer 2 in Episode 2.
- New interface designs.
- Dozens more new costumes.
- Few more hairstyles

Technical

- Broadband PSO officially supported.
- Can add/delete ISP info from the game itself-Because of no stand alone Gamecube Web Browser.
- Official Snapshot support.
- 4 characters per memory card.
- The game can be played online on multiple systems-No more one game to one system restrictions.

  Early Shots: Worthwhile?
Posted by: colohue - 12-10-2005, 10:15 AM - Forum: Ranger - Replies (18)

My new RAcaseal has just advanced to her first rare shot, the Meteor Smash. Now, even in areas with six or seven enemies I still can't bring myself to use it.

My Custom Ray ver.00 brings down anything except A. Beasts with no fuss whatsoever. When facing enemies like the worm and Barba Ray I use a Guilty Light, which just works so much better.

I've been using a Spread Needle on Blue Burst and that's a fast worthwhile shot, but the early shots just seem too slow and not damaging enough. What do you think, are they worth having?

am i the only one that this happened to?
Posted by: Kitsadoodles - 12-10-2005, 02:50 AM - Forum: Lobby - No Replies

on the night of october 11th, i was playing the pioneer halloween quest with mt HUnewearl Mary on normal mode. i played through the quest normally, going through the jungle, listening to the city escape music. my brother then went on with his RAmar SN@Ke, and he did the quest on ultamite. he didn't go to the jungle, but instead went to mountain and listened to the tails theme song instead. is this just an ultamite thing? or is something odd going on......the guide on this site says it's taking place in jungle......oh wait....as i was typing this, he went into normal and he got the normal quest-jungle and city escape. i'm just wondering, has anyone here beaten the mountain one? it's really confusing! Sad

Ressurection via PB -OMG It's True!
Posted by: UK Jester - 12-10-2005, 12:12 AM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (14)

I was just wandering through the Mag guides of the other great PSO website (PSOWorld) when I discovered something amazing that I had never heard of before. Please excuse me if this has been posted somewhere else already, I can't read everything.

Example:

Nobby Noob has just died just before the boss teleporter of Caves 3, he is offline with Larry Legit who has no Ryuker/Telepipes/Moonatomisers/Reversa. Normally the guys would have to quite the level and walk back to the Boss Teleporter - shame.

But what if Larry Legit has has Mags PB charged to 100 and has the Healing or Shifta and Deband Photon Blasts. Well, when Larry uses one of those, Nobby Noob should hold in the Y button of his Gamecube Controller to donate 10% of his PB and get an automatic Resurrection.

This info was taken from PSOworld, and I apologise if I've repeated something in another thread elsewhere.

  Halloween 2005 Reports
Posted by: UK Jester - 11-10-2005, 11:33 PM - Forum: Items - Replies (2)

Well, I've spent several hours online with my wife and so far we have got loads of cakes but only enough differn't ones so far to get a Jack-o-Lanturn for my old FOnewm, Jester. Redhead actually played Jester while I was playing my RAcast, as she had barely ever played a FO before let alone a 100+ one she did pretty well. I'll save opening the Lanturn until when I'm offline so I can reset a bad opening.

Redhead had a bit of a rough time. She adventured with two JP players and another English speaking player. At the end of the Pioneer Halloween quest, one of the JP players grabbed all the cakes that had been dropped for trading. Despite the best efforts of the other JP player (he spoke both English and Kanji) the dishonourable player ignored all request to play fair.
