I have a new computer, which can actually run games, I hope. Lol.
Anyway, I'm looking for some pointers on what game to get. i don't particularly want an online game, as it will probably be for times in university where I have breaks between classes, and I doubt I can connect online there.
I'm hoping for a real-time/turn-based strategy game of some sort, but I don't know what to go for.
Help please. XD

Heyhey everyone, i hope you are all doing well, i for one, am not. Currently im stuck in a job that demands more effort than its worth, i barely earn enough to live off of, and after a series of failed relationships i'm not in the best of moods. and to top it off, the lack of a scanner cuts the only hobby i really enjoy in half, although hopefully that one be a problem much longer.
All in all, i have quite a lot to sort out for myself at the moment, and i havent had the urge to visit here, or generally be online much at all these past few weeks, and that doesnt look to be changing. i'll check in once in a while though.
Over the past... 4 years or so ive been here, ive made some awesome friends, gotten some brilliant advice, and played one of the greatest games with some of the most fun people around, and i'd like to take a little space in this post to thank a few of those people.
First Up is Lee Yoshi, You're a fantastic guy, and i see absolutely no one more perfect for running the site, you've done so much for me and the rest of the members here, from all the new features, to the teams and running of the events, you made being here that much more enjoyable
Next is to a classic member, one ive not seen in years, Dark Magician, a somewhat insane character if ever there was one, who somehow survived a few bannings before disappearing, he was always a laugh, and kept the boards alive and well with his threats of oblivion and stuffs
Shade, Proud leader of the shadow Council, with your ever faithful talex in tow, you created the largest and most successful (to begin with ;p) clan on this site, of which i was a happy part of, it was briliant fun, right down to the member only roleplay thread back in the day, that was awesome XD
Nomercy, it was great speaking with you and your sister about everything, i'd like to think at least a few of my words had helped, i know some of yours have helped me and i wish you and Rena all the best for the future, although im sure they will be happy ones ^^
Kireek! such a brilliant member, you seemed to pop up from no where in the beginning, i'm sure you must be one of the most loved and well known members here now, always helpful and funny, keep it up, the forums need you
Kitsadoodles, a fellow artist ive seen flourish from humble beginnings to fantastic pictures i have no hope of ever matching, its been an honour to have drawn pictures for you, and have some done by you too. and thank you for all the fun on PSU it made my day logging on and seeing you there ^^
Mirinee, another brilliant artist i can barely compete with its been a pleasure being able to speak with you when i could, and its a shame i didnt draw enough FOmars for you i'll have to do you a special one sometime soon :3 i hope your little remiltos doll is still being taken care of :p
Kefka! Thanks to you i Learned a huge deal about thse games, and the few games i got to play with you were fantastic, i always tried to put in an extra 100% and your games always seemed to run so smoothly it was unbelievable i doubt theres much more of an unstoppable force out there in the game :3
All of you In Team Ragol, and Team PSUniverse. Nearer the end of my pso playing days, and throughout my PSU ones. i came to be the leader of these teams, and i was so proud to be able to, i neednt have to worry about finding people to play with anymore as you were always there to help, or be helped, the game was so much more fun being included in such a close knit group of people, thank you
Pink, you gave me the Best seven months of my life, and itruly loved every second i got to speak with you, from that christmas a year ago i really got to know you, and PSU was never the same after you left it. I hope you still enjoy the artwork ive done for you, i put in as much effort as i could in order to please you with them, and will continue to do so with anymore i do for you ^^ You are a fantastic girl pink, and ive never had such a good reason for staying up until 4am each night than it being with you i'll always have a special place in my heart for you
I know i havent mentioned nearly enough people, and i regret that, i Love everyone here like my own family. please feel free to post away, and i'll recall some of our fondest memories together, all of you but, i guess this is a goodbye, maybe i'll see some of you on MSN, on the rare occasions im on. maybe here once in a while, we'll see i suppose. farewell Ragol, i love you all! :'(

I have a new computer. That's right kiddies, nomercy no longer has a junky XP laptop. Now he has a shiny new Vista dual-core laptop. It's extremely tedious though, transferring all my music I need to it. I've done 7 artists so far, and that took 3 shots with my USB flash drive. Fortunately I'm not putting everything on it, so I'll still have much space.
On a sad note though, I can't get BB to run on the new one.
T_T
However, I might just decide to stop being a Scrooge and pay for a Guardian's License for PSU.

Dec. 10, 2007 - Researchers discovered genetic evidence that human evolution is speeding up - and has not halted or proceeded at a constant rate, as had been thought - indicating that humans on different continents are becoming increasingly different.
"We used a new genomic technology to show that humans are evolving rapidly, and that the pace of change has accelerated a lot in the last 40,000 years, especially since the end of the Ice Age roughly 10,000 years ago," says research team leader Henry Harpending, a distinguished professor of anthropology at the University of Utah.
Harpending says there are provocative implications from the study, published online Monday, Dec. 10 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences:
* "We aren't the same as people even 1,000 or 2,000 years ago," he says, which may explain, for example, part of the difference between Viking invaders and their peaceful Swedish descendants. "The dogma has been these are cultural fluctuations, but almost any Temperament trait you look at is under strong genetic influence."
* "Human races are evolving away from each other," Harpending says. "Genes are evolving fast in Europe, Asia and Africa, but almost all of these are unique to their continent of origin. We are getting less alike, not merging into a single, mixed humanity." He says that is happening because humans dispersed from Africa to other regions 40,000 years ago, "and there has not been much flow of genes between the regions since then."
...
A key finding: 7 percent of human genes are undergoing rapid, recent evolution.
The researchers built a case that human evolution has accelerated by comparing genetic data with what the data should look like if human evolution had been constant:
* The study found much more genetic diversity in the SNPs than would be expected if human evolution had remained constant.
* If the rate at which new genes evolve in Africans was extrapolated back to 6 million years ago when humans and chimpanzees diverged, the genetic difference between modern chimps and humans would be 160 times greater than it really is. So the evolution rate of Africans represents a recent speedup in evolution.
* If evolution had been fast and constant for a long time, there should be many recently evolved genes that have spread to everyone. Yet, the study revealed many genes still becoming more frequent in the population, indicating a recent evolutionary speedup.
But Harpending believes the speedup in human evolution "is a temporary state of affairs because of our new environments since the dispersal of modern humans 40,000 years ago and especially since the invention of agriculture 12,000 years ago. That changed our diet and changed our social systems. If you suddenly take hunter-gatherers and give them a diet of corn, they frequently get diabetes. We're still adapting to that. Several new genes we see spreading through the population are involved with helping us prosper with high-carbohydrate diet."
It goes on more but I copied the basis of it. I think it's pretty fascinating stuff.

Alright, I'm in a rap mood lately, but I feel I've listened to pretty much everything I have so much it's dead. Therefore, I'm on the look-out for some new styles to check out. The stuff I listen to for the most part...
Wu-Tang Clan
Jurassic 5
Juelz Santana
JR Writer
So I'm looking for stuff like the above artists, mostly. Please note, no R&B, as that makes me want to kill things.
Thanks y'all.

Hey. It's Apprentice, or Hiro as I'm called on PSU. A while ago, I found a small roleplaying community on PSU. You know, act as the character you are, and all that. Then my subscription expired. I just today got my subscription back, but couldn't find the community again, as I had forgotten to add their website to my favorites. Now I have a problem. Do any of you know of a roleplaying community for PSU? I really enjoyed the one I had, till I logged off for a while. Lemme know. Thanks!
