  Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Posted by: mr_shoe_uk - 13-02-2005, 08:09 PM - Forum: Gaming - Replies (9)

Hey guys!

I've had this game a week now, and can safely say it's incredibly fun! One of the must pure fun, original games I think of!

Unfortunately, it is very short, only 16 main levels, but the way the game is structured, getting medals for different scores lends itself to a lot of replayabilty. The score system itself is very good, the same thing being health and points. Some of the levels are also quite hard to get the top award on. Unfortunately (though I'm not sure if this is just me) I have mastered them fairly easily, and now have top awards on half of the levels. Still though, it's terrific fun, and I have even returned to levels I have the top emblem on, just to play for fun.

The graphics are inredibly good, and the levels wonderfully varied. All in all, I think it's a very enjoyable game, but some may be put off by its length.

  All Legit
Posted by: Vincent Rayne - 13-02-2005, 06:44 PM - Forum: Hacks & Cheats - Replies (5)

well folks....

joeyt and i have decided to go all legit...
no more taking any good items for free...
anything with more than 35% is looked upon suspiciously....

the reason for our change was due to an error...
the first time i saw a secure feet...
i saw the box was red...

soon after that i accepted some hacked items...
i then after realized that the text on my secure feet was in all caps and the text was green not yellow...

i assumed that the hacked items were messing with my game...
and then after the post about the changes between plus and regular secure feet...

i realized my mistake and decided to stay legit anyways...

hahaha..

Google whacking is a thing i discovered later today. You put in two completly random words in to google and you only get one result.Just one.there are a few rules.

1. You cannot put in puctuation

2.The words must exist in googles point of view.(there is a blue bar at the top, if they are underlined, they are words).

3.It cant be a word list, ie scabble word,dicitonary.com

post your whacks here!

mine was rarebit pyrokinetic

  Maximum Attack 2 V.2
Posted by: Lee-yoshi - 13-02-2005, 02:17 PM - Forum: Meetings - Replies (25)

Original Thread: Sunday Play:

For the afternoon today ill be online either Episodes I & II or Episode III, to be decided when i play! But if anyones around this afternoon, be sure to enter in and have a quick game this afternoon, on the quiets of sundays Big Grin

Hope to see some of you there!

[EDIT]

---------------------------------------------------------

Alright, here's the dealio...

For the whole afternoon ive been busting my guts over Maximum Attack 2 V.2. I asked myself while playing through "Do you know how great this quest is?", while at the sametime asking "Do you know how f**king impossible this quest is?!?!"

Seriously, i played it through on Normal difficulty with my main HUmar char at Lvl. 121, slaying enemies in one hit moving on rooms as fast as anything, constantly moving in the right direction, and still couldnt get to the end before the time ran out!!!

Therefore i plead for help! Anyone who wants to play through this quest with me (Most probabily on Normal until its completed!), preferably tonight (Around 9/10ish GMT), please post below! PLEASE!!! Angry

  Tech incantations
Posted by: Feline Witch - 13-02-2005, 03:11 AM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (32)

I thought if they give PSU voice overs, they should make characters chant incantations when they cast a tech.

Grants
Goddess, spread thy wings, whisper thy song,
GRANTS!!!

Megid
The bell of emptiness tolls for thee. Be embraced by shadows,
MEGID!!!

Rafoie
The phoenix soars, bursts and dies. Feel its deadly down,
RAFOIE!!!

Razonde
The hand of heaven's judgement reaches for you,
RAZONDE!!!

Rabarta
Crystals, so beautiful, so cold, so deadly,
RABARTA!!!

  Keyboard Questions
Posted by: NetNomad - 12-02-2005, 09:33 PM - Forum: Help - Replies (14)

For those of you who have used keyboards to chat on PSO, I was hoping you could answer these questions. I've decided that, if I ever get online, I will be needing a keyboard. So today I go to eBay to check the prices on them. Only one of the listings I got was an actual keyboard... it was this white "controller/keyboard" thing that, supposodly, is specifically for PSO. But it was far to expensive for my tastes, so I moved on to the others. The others were offers for "adapters," which would supposodly allow you to connect any standard keyboard to a controller port. It also seems to be able to adapt to PS/PS2 controllers, which is slightly confusing... :S

My main question is, will PSO accept an input like this in a controller port that isn't Player 1's? Could I have the controller in port 1, and the keyboard in port 2 and be able to use them both? I can't imagine having to unplug the controller to use a keyboard... it'd be easier just to use the software keyboard. Or is the big, white "contoller/keyboard" combo item the only type you can use in PSO?

  FW's words of wisdom
Posted by: Feline Witch - 12-02-2005, 06:55 PM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (3)

I being of soundish mind shall relate to you the phrases, somewhat coherant thoughts and sayings whose wisdom have stopped me setting myself alight and running screaming into a shopping mall.

1. Nothin' spells lovin' like a toddler in the oven.

2. Make your own presents. They are a lot cheap-I mean, more personal.

3. Why do parents buy us mobiles? They are a method of control!

4. Never keep a grudge, unless you have not gotten your own back yet.

5. Let the sun go down on your schemings. Revengings are best done at
night.

6. If you are ugly and sound like a retard, don't despair, the world of Corination Street and Emmerdale awaits.
