Ahh re-united with my copy of Record of Lodoss War after finding it in the depths of my CD collection.

I remember buying Record of Lodoss War a mere 24 hours before receiving my copy of PSO V2 for the DC. Needless to say Lodoss War was put aside for a long while and forgotten about.

After digging it out I popped it into my beloved Dreamcast and started playing. I remember vividly the ignoramus at GameStop telling me to get another game instead of Lodoss War. He stated that the sounds in the game were horrible and the metal boots made too much noise. Ignoring him I bought the game.

As I spent a few hours playing I finally found a pair of the so called CLANGCLANGCLANGCLANG boots and equipped them. Well what ELSE are metal boots supposed to sound like?

Overall after about 12 hours of playing I find the gameplay to be rather challenging and the ability to transfer runic spells to weapons and armor to be unique and fun to use. Leveling up like in all RPGs is hard work but fun when you know you can handle that next area.


The map system is the worst part of the game. And trying to figure out where to go next only to find a blocked off area is a pain in the wahoo.

Music is good, though repetitive especially the battle music. And character voices tend to get on one's nerves after hearing Deedlit yell Parn! And those eerie goblin laughs...

Overall the story is fun, and makes for a fun game.

I got tons of materials in my bank cuz i cant use them anymore
is there a limit of how many materials u can use :|
