Me and maverick were on earlier and we were just wondering what kind of mag it is at the top of the screen because it looks really cool and i want one.

I just recently started to play PSO I, II, and III again, and I realized a few things that I had missed earlier about the similarities between the games and PSO.

The most astonishing one that I realized is that PSO Episode 2's Spaceship area music is actually a remix of PSII's battle theme, I listened to it for a whle, and knew it sounded very familiar.

Nei is also in PSII, as the main characters companion, in which time newmans were looked down upon. (They still are, at least hunewearls, those stupid sluts) however, Ni is the only hunewearl worthy of my respect.

all in all, its just fun to find the similatirites between the two games, I just wanted to post one I just realized.

I've just come up with an idea for a contest and after a bit of a natter with Sol and Decswxaqz we've come up with some of the basic rules! Heres the key points;

- You'll start off with a brand spanking new Level 1 Character, with no transferring allowed! Just like starting from scratch!

- In teams of 3; which you can decide, every member of the team must reach level 10 (To be decided) as fast as possible!

- Quests will be allowed, but loading them up could take away valuable exping time!

- To ensure that no-one cheats and makes a transfer before the competition begins, each participating player will be given a name for their character a few minutes or so before the competition kicks off.

- A Referee will be present in each game limiting the teams to 3 characters, if one person is found to be cheating, the entire team will be disqualified from the competition.

- Prizes!! Aside from gaining the title "Fastest Exper!" you can win items!

Thats about it, this is just a first idea, the rules might change a bit! Please post below if you are interested or have any other ideas/comments.

Depending on the feedback i get from this, it may have to change to single player exping or it may not even go ahead at all! I genuinely like this idea though so i hope that people will get involved, im sure the lure of wealth and glory should be enough to entice even the most reclusive of Hunters!

this is for people whos mags never got their 3rd mag blast and their mags are at lv.200. also I am not sure if this work 100%.
1. go to multimode get the char that has the mag with only 2 photon blasts and another char (if your chars a ranger use either a force or a hunter)
2. give the mag to the other char
3. have the other char feed it something
it should now evolve into something diffrent and get a 3rd photon blast.
*NOTE* if you want your mag to look like it did before you did this then just feed it with its original owner. it will keep the mag blast and it will change back

found this while on the net, i haven't tried them personally as of yet, but someone else said that it worked.

araste gene flow trick
This is an explanation of how to obtain Red Ring and Parasitic Gene "FLOW" online and offline in a step-by-step process.

1. Any class of character can do this. All HU, RA and FO.
2. Section ID does not seem to be a factor at this point. I used my Skyly HUnewearl to obtain all three of my Gene "FLOW" drops - 1 online and 2 offline.
3. You will need HP draining weapons that don't require you to hit an enemy to deplete your HP. These weapons are:

HUNTERS = Lavis Weapons (Lavis Cannon, Double Cannon, Lavis Blades), Yamigarasu, Soul Eater, Soul Banish.
RANGERS = Yamigarasu, Soul Eater.
FORCES = Dark Bridge, Gal Wind, Soul Eater, Soul Banish (FOmar and FOmarl only)
***You can also try Virus Armor: Lafuteria, Parasite Wear: DeRol, Parasite Wear: Nelgal or Parasite Wear: Vajulla, Luminous Field.***

4. Several Scape Dolls. You will need them.
5. Ultimate difficulty open and Ruins (to get Red Ring on EP1) and Seabed (to get Gene "FLOW" on EP2). You must beat the Central Control Area on Episode 2 to be able to access the Seabed levels.
6. Ryuker technique or a stock of Telepipes
7. Knowledge of the Boss TP Trick (for ONLINE play version)
8. LOTS AND LOTS OF PATIENCE!!!!! You'll need it!

For Parasitic Gene "Flow":

1. Bring a few Scape Dolls with you and a full stock (x10) of Telepipes and fight your way through the Seabed levels.
2. At the end of Seabed Lower Levels is Olga Flow's teleporter. With your Ryuker or a Telepipe, drop your Telepipe down before his teleporter and take it to Pioneer 2. Use this oppurtunity to stock up on your toolz and things you will need for the fight with Olga Flow. Bring Scape Dolls (enough you feel you need for the fight), drop your Meseta on the floor for later (unless you wanna dupe Meseta again), take your HP draining weapon from the bank and place it in inventory (valid weapons are above) and head back down your TP again to return next to Olga's teleporter.
4. Drop another Telepipe or use Ryuker again. You walways want to have an easy way back to the boss's room in case you die (and this trick forces you to die).
5. Now this time, go into Olga's teleporter for the fight against him.
6. Defeat his 2 forms
7. Now equip your HP draining weapon and proceed to use it's special to drain all your HP until you die. If you have any Scape Dolls on you, drop them before you kill yourself or you may waste them when you die. You can also just keep them on you and quickly press "A" to port back to Pioneer 2 before the Scape Doll revives you.
8. You should now be back on Pioneer 2. Go pickup your money and whatever else you dropped on Pioneer 2 earlier and head back down the telepipe you set before the fight with Olga.
9. Head into Olga's chamber again and then look around on the floor. If you see any red box, that is your Parasitic Gene "FLOW". If not, SAVE your game and redo it (offline).

***If you are doing this online, combine this trick with the Boss TP Trick by having a buddy idle on P2 while you go off and kill Olga. Then, instead of doing the Suicide, do the Boss TP Trick steps. When you return to your game and head back to Olga's chamber, you will be greeted by a freshly reborn Olga Flow and, if the DNA was dropped, it will be sitting there spinning on the platform. If not, repeat until you get one. It will take awhile to have patience.

For Red Ring:

1. To get the Red Ring, you will basically be doing the same thing as you do for the Gene FLOW. But this time, you will do this on Episode 1 Ultimate difficulty and you must battle your way through the Ruins until you get to Falz.
2. Once at the teleporter to Dark Falz, do the same steps as your did for Olga - - Drop your Telepipe or cast Ryuker to always have access to P2 and Boss's chamber.
3. Get your Scape Dolls (as much as you feel you need for your skill level) and your HP draining weapon and return back to Ruins 3 to go to Falz. Don't forget to drop your Telepipes or cast Ryuker when you return to Falz or Olga especially if you are doing this ONLINE.....unless you like running through the whole Ruins 3 or Seabed Lower Levels everytime.
4. Kill Falz in all his forms. Then do your Suicide (OFFLINE). Return back to your TP and see if you got a Red Ring. If not, SAVE and repeat until you get one. You will be doing this a long time so have patience.

****If you are Online, combine the Boss TP Trick with this trick as explained in the Gene FLOW part of this trick. The red box that is the Red Ring will be halfway between the cave and the Dark Control Spire that leads to Falz if he did drop it. Online players can repeat these steps over and over if they know the Boss TP Trick and combine it with this trick. Good luck

***NOTE***
You will be restarting your game everytime you fail to get a Gene Flow or Red Ring when playing offline. The purpose of killing yourself is to go back and see if you got them. You should pick your stuff up from P2 before returning to Olga ir Falz's chamber in search of the DNA or Red Ring if you're offline. This prevents you from having to go through the boring ass Epilogue!

Ok, does anyone know if its possible to play pso on a lan? What I mean by that is, is there some way that two people each with their own GC and adapter, connect to each other and play a game with just them? (2 or more)...

Something kinda like if you took a cross-over cable to link the two gcs together, they would be on different tvs.. so you'd still have the full screen... anyone have any ideas?
