| How did u start playing pso |

How did u start to play pso? For me it all started out when I had my birthday party. Zer0 met another one of my friends, and then after the party invited my friend (lancer) over. Zer0 showed him pso, and then lancer borrowed pso. Later that same day Lancer had a party, and I went and played pso. I didn't really like it, but then at lancer's end of the school year party, Issac and Vahn came and played it. They liked it, and they bought it during summer break. I went to Vahn's house two times for a sleepover, and enjoyed the game more, so I bought it around the end of July. That is how I started pso.
PS: This is my longest post so far.

<strong>Episode 3 in English!!!</strong> <img src="/images/Gamecube.jpg" alt="Gamecube" width="8" height="8">
<font size="1">[ Sol - December 13 2003 - 13:02 PM ]</font>
<p>All those of you who have imported Episode 3 you might wanna check this out! The following information is courtesy of <a href="http://www.phantasycard.com/" target="_blank">phantasycard.com</a>Â -</p><p><em>Yes, it's the moment some of you have been waiting for, and Get requested that I post it here first. My English code for Episode 3 final is finally ready.<br /><br /><u>Some information first:</u><br />I've attempted to make this code as secure as I possibly can from tampering, and I believe that it is now safe to release. The only people who should be able to reverse it would be capable of making their own codes anyway. I do not support cheating at online games, which is why I have done all I can to prevent it from happening.<br /><br /><u>What the code will do</u><br />* Set menu options to English<br />* Set card descriptions to English.<br />* Set in-battle scroll messages (Ex: Roll a 6 or higher to Paralyze your opponent) to English.<br />* Set Story mode mission descriptions to English.<br />* The effects of the code are ONLY active when the code is on.<br />* You will still appear as having the Japanese language setting when online.<br />* <b>WARNING</b>: Do NOT use the onscreen keyboard while using this code. None of the keys are mapped to the correct letters, and if you attempt to access the 3rd page, which doesn't exist in English, the game will lock up. This is the only known side-effect of this code. (Of course, if you have a keyboard, this wont be a problem). Word select, sound effects, and Symbol Chat are not affected.<br /><br />Although this code will work online, I take no responcibility for it's use AT ALL. Although the English code for the trial was not blocked, that doesn't mean ST wont block this one. <br /><br /><u><strong>PSO Episode 3 English Code:</strong></u><em><strong> </strong>(Updated December 11th)<br />1. OHBY-Q4WD-S87JA<br />2. FXZ7-V2X4-J6X9A<br />3. KBFO-ROR3-DSNMJ<br />4. USOV-O8EU-KG9D2<br />5. FZMW-GTY7-9SMJG<br />6. UVTV-EUV4-3JXUJ<br />7. JNTP-HLYE-KJ2VE<br />8. TAH6-VKBW-4CSOD<br />9. J83B-33PR-4M8ZS<br />10. 74QT-A84N-XOSJ6<br />11. XMCR-4OVF-K99RM<br />12. 8RK2-W3FV-968XN<br />13. CVAE-ZVKC-BTQV8<br />14. QBAT-72WD-44AHS<br /><br /><strong>Remember, this goes under the Japanese games section of the AR.</strong> Please double check the code if you get errors. (Even I made mistakes entering codes while I was testing) This does not need an (M) code to function.<br /><br />There were several other things already translated in the game, (The tutorial, the NPC taunts in battle, the card titles) however I felt it necessary to keep the code as short as possible while still remaining helpful. There is also some things that weren't translated at all, such as the NPC's on Pioneer 2, or the picture cutscenes in story mode. So anyway, enjoy Episode 3 in partial English!<br /><br />The code was updated on December 11th. You dont need to enter this new one if you're already using the old one. The updated one will allow for add-ons to change other parts of the game to English, if I decide to release any. (Already tried to do the tutorial, but for some reason it wont let me switch it over. Sorry.)</em></em></p><p><em>~Sapph</em></p>

FSOD - Frozen screen of death. A 'bog standard' event in online PSO . You lose all of your unequipped items. Weapons, armour, mags, items everything that you do not have unequipped.
FSOD X/BSOD - Corruption. It's a FSOD during the save process. This is the worst thing that can happen to you. You will lose EVERYTHING. Your chars, your lvls, and your guild cards. There have been theories of escaping. There is no way to predict it and no way to really stop it from happening. Although this method of corruption seems a lot less likely now the double save feature has been removed from Ep 1&2.
You can also get corrupted if there is a power surge/shortage during the save process offline
To escape damage from FSOD, people again have come up with various mathods. The one that has worked for me twice, is to start an offline multiplayer game. You should start the game with all your items intact. Run along to the bank and deposit everything. It should save with everything in your bank. Then start an offline single player game and check. Save again and then you should not see the "Game not shut down properly. All items deleted" message on character select screen.
To minimise damage from FSOD, just put all your valuable items in the bank before you leave a game. Everything equipped is fine, just look at your unequipped items. You needn't bother putting in fluids and mates because they are easily recoverable.
To avoid FSOD all together is impossible. It just seems to happen. Many people say stay away from busy lobbies, have no dupes etc. I've done all there is and still got FSOD so just be careful and deposit your items before you go to the lobby.
EDIT: 24/11/2004
Posted by Sesshomaru:
When someone's PSO file on the memory card becomes corrupted (ie. when the power gets shut off during a save) the way to keep your characters and all of your items is to first bring up the memory card screen (holding 'A' at the GameCube screen). Then go to the "GUILDCARD" File and delete that instead of the character file. Then just start PSO and load up your character and it will give you a new GuildCard file.
This allows you to keep your characters and items without having to re-create them and level up again.
I've only been able to verify this method with a GameCube. And it 'does' work, I've had my file corrupted quite a few times bc of power failure in my home, which ironically enough happens to be when I'm saving a game. But this method has worked each time that it happened.
Hope it helps!
