get norton anti-vrius off the net if you can, it has free definition updates too. To get rid of any spyware i highly recommend Ad-Aware. You can get it from here: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

I heard bad things about Norton.
I'm actually looking for an "Internet Sucurity" Software so it covers all of them in one.

For antivirus software, I use Panda antivirus, although it's quite expensive.

Stopping spyware?

Hmm... I guess you could just be careful where you click, and erm... hmm... well, I honestly don't know.

One of my computers has Norton on it, and it SUCKS! That computer has more viruses on it that Program Files. It's like on that episode of The Simpsons where Mr. Burns goes to the hospital and they explain about how many diseases he has. There were so many they couldn't kill him. It's just like that on this computer. There are so many viruses it's still working, kinda. Anyway, don't get Norton.

I have no internet security whatsoever on my computer. I have Windows XP and I have a HUGE problem with ad and spware (change your settings - spy on you) I've had to format my harddrive twice because of this one program that hides deep down in your computer plus it is not detectable by any antivirus software because it is not like a virus, it names itself after official sounding programs like exploreer.exe-directx.exe-win64.exe and they run in the background changing your homepage to magicsearch.ws (which cannot be changed back, it's permanent unless you know how to edit your registry) I have Ad-Aware and not even it can get rid of this program Sad Sad Sad
